Dear Group:

I received my finger printing requirement via Canada post, ecas also updated ???

Minor (hopefully) obstacle on the way to the cherished dream of being a Canadian

Once finger pirnts are done (I intend to do it at Edmonton - my place of residence), i hope the agency sends it directly to RCMP and then from there gets to CIC office in BC (as per letter) - right?

RCMP will send it to your local office where you application is currently at

Nice, did you have lots of exists and entries in CA during the last 4 years?I am from Edmonton too, had the test on the 4th and no change ever since.

I had 7month absence for work at the beginning of my PR, 1 or 2 travels per year after.

Congrats hohoho for your oath invite. What a smooth ride!

Has your Ecas been updated with Decision Made or you found it out on the oath letter? I did the interview on Nov 9 and my ecas still says in process. I know it's different for each case But i wanted to see if there is a pattern here.

Again congrats on your citizenship app completion

You can see "Decision Made" on ECAS after interview. For me, it took 4days, but only 1 business day. If there is something the officer need to check, it would take a while, I guess. Wish you have your status updated soon.

One trip or two every year, they had all the records. I worked for 3.5years at one company and moved to a new one after 8month of unemployment. My wife works full time, my son went to university this year. I guess if there is a significant evidence for your staying in Canada before and after grant of citizenship, your case will be smooth.

Not sure what they are checking, but i had one 1 week holiday exit and one 1 week work related. All coming with stamps, except the holiday one because it was EU and you don't get stamps. Will wait Thank you for the input.

ya at time ...it appears to be illogical ..or cant find the correlations between the cases......

Received the letter today as expected, Local police station finger printing schedule are fully booked till next month. so will have to go to one of the centres.
The letter doesn't give me the option to have the results sent to me instead of directly to IRCC, it only states if the results were sent to me, I should send them to IRCC ASAP.
It also states to insure the file reference number is included to the fingerprint form.

Is that similar to yours? How can I have the option to be sent directly to me rather than IRCC? The centre informed me to follow the letter instructions.

Sorry for the late reply gussj. Its really upto you.I preferred sending myself to make sure its registered mail and i can track it.In the letter they do say if the finger printing company sends it to you so please forward this to us.It is not compulsory that it has to be sent by RCMP.Its totally upto you.As long as they receive it.
