Hi everyone, will you please shed some lights please
we managed to send through all details needed in march, now my ecas side is showing medical received(applicant), on my hubby its showing our dependent(sponsor), which we added in March.

my visa office sent this the same day our ecas were updated

"Please be advised that you are required to contact CPC Mississauga with regards to adding your daughter XXXXXX DOB XXXXX, to the sponsorship which you submitted for your spouse. You should send a copy of your daughter’s full birth certificate and make the payment of the processing fee asap. CPC Mississauga will not make a decision on the sponsorship which you submitted for your spouse until you have done this."

when we sent through updated forms we included the birth Cert also. we paid the fee for her in December and sent through the payment.
yesterday we replied to them letting them know we sent through the docs already to Mississauga, also we attached the docs again so they can see.

my question is, could it be possible that the visa offices are not communicating? or updating each other?
and also, could that be the only thing left till DM?

Been watching the process for weeks now its been sitting at "Medical results have been received"
Where are we in the process?
Do we start counting 17 months from October?
Do we see cases where its sooner than 17 months?

Permanent Residence

We started processing your application on November 30, 2015.

We are going to send application for outland thread for my wife, she is currently living with me in canada, but her work permit will expire Feb 2017. Do you think we can get PR before Feb 2017 if we submit application now? Otherwise we will have to send inland application.. Thank a lot!!

Hi yanhzhi861,

I do believe that your wife will get PR before Feb 2017 when applying outland, but I think and please anyone else correct me, when you apply outland you cannot work while waiting for PR...

Hey Cynthiakward,
It seems like your application is under process. If you want you can order GCMS notes to see what else have been checked in your application (if the medicals have been approved, policy clearance etc).

The 17 months includes the assessment of your sponsor. That means that yours started from the day they received your application August 11.

A lot of cases they are assessed sooner, 17 months is not the average processing time. However it all depends from your visa office. I think you should look for the thread for your visa office or from the spread sheets to see the average processing time.

Hello house,

I was looking to find out if anyone ordered for the GCMS notes recently and how long it usually takes to receive them. I applied for my husband's notes on the 10th of March and I know their automated response says 30 days but I was wondering if it can take longer than that.

I applied to sponsor my wife on September 2015 (outland application). I got sponsorship approval on Nov 2015 and she got her file moved to NewDelhi on December 2015. I tried my luck with visitor VISA, I can't believe this, I am able to get visitor VISA for my wife for one year (muitiple entry).

Yes but i'm not 100 per cent sure to be honest. It's a bit confusing your situation. In the case that is true what i'm saying, I still suggest that you apply outland as the processing time is way faster. I got landed in 6 months! Way faster than waiting for 26months! As you are married and your wife is already in Canada I believe you have good chances that she gets approved really fast. It also depends from where she is and which is her visa office. Maybe you can create a new thread, so people with similar situation as yours might be able to tell you if she will be able to work or not.
