FYI They have updated the Stage 1 processing times. It is now 44 days and working on applications received on September 8th.

Showed that for me on Friday - now its back to Sept 2nd Apps.

LOL - when i clicked on it it shows 9/2 ... its whatever at this point. It's not like that website really means anything. Some people in August are still waiting !

I looked at it about 15 minutes ago, and andrew-brit was right, it was 44 days and last update was on Oct 22, 2014, but now it goes back to 43 days and last update on Oct 15, 2014.

I know it was updated on 10/22 ... but then it reverted back. I haven't seen it go back to 10/22 since Saturday. That was my point. Its been at 10/15 for 2 days now.

Honestly, its probably just as screwed up as everything else CIC does. lol..

Completely new to the site, so please bare with my n00b'ish questions.

I am sponsoring my wife from US through outbound application, we completed the whole application process and submitted it on September 2nd, 2014. We got the confirmation that the application was received on Sept. 9th, 2014. In anyone's expert opinion, how long would it be until we get another update from the CIC regarding my evaluation of being a Sponsor? I tried to check the application status online but always end up with the following:

Mine was received 9/10 - I heard nothing from CIC (Citizen and Immigration Canada). I actually had to call them to confirm that it was received because I didnt even get an AOR (Acknowledgement of receipt)- they don't really send this anymore it seems like.

I haven't gotten SA either ( Sponsor Approval)

Website doesn't show anything either - I get the same message as you.

So all I can really say is wait :-\ ... or call them if you are worried. But they didn't tell me anything. However, I am not the sponsor - my husband is. They will only talk to the sponsor.

I called because I was worried - All they were able to tell me was "Yes we have the application." They also gave me an application # which is useless online right now. They said "We cannot give you any further information - your sponsor must call in for further details on the progress of the application."
