Thanks, everyone, for all the congratulations! Let's hope this marks the first of many swift SAs for us September folks!

I got two emails from CIC at ~8AM PDT. The first one had a letter attached saying they were refunding me $75, I guess I had overpaid the fee. The second email, about 5 minutes later had a two page letter attached that said I was eligible to sponsor and that the documents were being sent to CPC Ottawa.

Hey guys, I called CIC today and spoke with a young lady regarding my appapplication. I was told that a file was started on my sponsors behalf and that we should have an answer within the next 3 weeks. Not much to go on bit there'there's hope.

Yes, they received your application on September 29th so based on current processing times you should receive news of sponsor approval around November 9th. You have a bit of time to wait but it is good that they answered your phone call!

Lol, I agree. I called 30 mins ago and was on wait for only 5 minutes.

What number did you call? I know I have a bit longer to wait, but it'd be nice to hear from someone who can confirm that my app has been received and is in process, at least for a little peace of mind.

I called this morning as my application was received on September 3rd but I have not heard anything.I was told to be patient -the officer did not look into verify that the application has been received.
