Local Office: Hamilton
Test: 11-06-2015

thanks.

One question on my wife's citizenship application, status as followed:

1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on December 29, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 26, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on May 4, 2015.
4. We sent you correspondence on May 4, 2015. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required.
5. We sent you a letter on May 4, 2015. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

No. 4 is the request of passport stamp translation. we have done and send out by June 20.
No. 5 appeared on July 31, 2015. It seems a duplicate of No.4 or a sign of invitation of test?

Any idea on this matter?

Thanks,

So for those who have applied in Sept 2014 from Mississauga - have u all got your citizenship ?

I have applied for my Canadian citizenship in Sept 2014 (from Mississauga and living near the Square one area) and application receipt/ acknowledgment letter with discover Canada book was sent subsequently . As per the online status, shows that they recd my papers in Sept and that November 2014 they have started processing our papers. However till date we haven't recd. any call for the test. I was expecting a call around March - April but so far nothing?!! Is there a slow down in processes currently? Has anyone who has applied around the same time, been waiting too for a test date?? Have called customer service a no. of times and they said that as per online normal processing time is 24 to 36 months and if I have not passed the min. processing time of 24 months, they will not look into the file.

you'd better call service centre or contact local MP, or orde an ATIP to access more information on your case.

customer service has told me that each regional office has different wait times - I just have to wait as per their website processing can take abt 24 to 36 months. What is ATIP?

I sent my app on Sep 2014 and still waiting ::)

Hello guys, here is my timeline:
1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 23, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on November 18, 2014.
3. We started processing your application on January 12, 2015.

The fourth line indicated my file got transferred to Scarborough office in March and it disappeared couple month ago.
While waiting for my citizenship test, is there anything I can do to speed up my case?
I assume call center would not provide any useful information other than processing times:(

Yes I am still waiting for my test ..
In my opinion - there is no rule of thumb to know how fast/slow your application will go .. everyone's situation is different so comparison doesn't work ..
I do feel upset some time because of this delay but being upset will not help me much - so enjoy life till it's ur turn to take the oath :)
