Was anyone able to do their test and oath without having their landing paper or confirmation of permanent residence document. Pleas advise this is my current situation right now and I have my test on April 23, 2015.gupta.rk said:This seems to be stuck here not sure when it is going to move.
You must have had that to apply in first place (as it is one of the required documents for application), did you loose it ?Jarina said:Was anyone able to do their test and oath without having their landing paper or confirmation of permanent residence document. As far as I know that's a very important document and you'll keep it (and need it) even after you become a citizen.
If you lost it, I would suggest you apply for a new
I would suggest you call CIC and ask what you should do. At-the-very-least go to your test appointment with a copy of the CPR (from your application) and proof that you have applied for a replacement one.
No problem. Time-wise, your application is going much faster than for a number of applicants from September (including myself) -- my Application was received Sept. 30th and I haven't been called for testing yet (while you applied months later and already have a test scheduled).Jarina said:I did lost it and I have already applied for a replacement. CIC told me to just go and do my test and show proof of receipt of paid application for replacement. The reason why I ask was because I though maybe someone from the September application group would know since most of y'all have done your test. My application was sent in Decemeber 2014 so I thought of asking y'all. I do have a copy of my CPR so I'll will bring that to the test next a week.
Thanks itguy78
Several people have been told of of approval after test and received Oath invitation on the spot. A lot of people are told of "approval" after the test and then told that they'll receive Oath invitation a few weeks/months later in the mail -- this seems to be the most common practice lately. As far as I know they're supposed to take your PR card during the Oath ceremony, not at the test/interview.classic0 said:Hi guys, has anyone been told that your application is approved right after the interview? Does the officer keep your PR card or something else?
