Today in eCas I can see what local office:

A little update from me. Even though CIC kept telling me throughout January that they have my file and probably I was missed on sending an AOR however, I finally got my AOR on Feb 4. That took long time considering CIC received my file on Sep 8'2014. My ecas was updated probably 2-3 days after Feb 4, I exactly do not know the date. Since then the status shows the same thing, no start of processing yet. I know citizenship application takes long time but considering the fact it is already 6 months and my application has not started processing yet, I am wondering is there any thing I can do? Or any ballpark figure as to when my application may see the start of processing?

It largely depends on your local office. Like if you are from Toronto, you will probably become citizen in 4/5 months and if you are from Calgary (I am from here too) you can not expect any thing before 1.5 years. There is disparity in processing time between local office.

Hi everyone,

I've just received a test invitation from Mississauga office. The letter is dated at 17th Feb and test date is 4th March 2015. There is no update in e-cas status. It was a mighty long wait..
My timeline:
Application date - 26th Sept, 2014
Received by CIC - 29th Sept, 2014
Ecas in-process - 18th Nov, 2014
Received AOR in mail - 27th Nov, 2014

Just received my test invitation letter. The test is on 3rd March.
