Well I do believe that till AOR all of us will have more or less similar timelines however the difference in the processing times will appear when files will be moved to local office.

Despite sending my transcript in a sealed envelope, they sent me back the whole package minus the transcript and requested that I provide proof of attendance at the College I attend. So I requested another transcript, this time I opened it and highlight the relevant years which I attended school. What a waste.

I have a question, If I visit US for abt 6-7 months for project work. I read that there are certain exemptions to that, we can still apply for citizenship even if less than 1095 days as it's related to work. But not sure, if it has to be USA company or CAN Company. And if taxes were paid only in USA.
Any idea ? Will they send out RQ ? or still get processed ?

I once made this query to CIC call centre. I was told that working for a Canadian company outside of Canada will only count towards keeping your permanent residence valid, CIC will not count this towards citizenship requirement.

You need 1095 days minimum physical presence in Canada to qualify for citizenship applications. This is true until next April/May then new requirements will be in effect. There are some exceptions for military, very rare medical cases etc..but that doesn't apply for normal cases.

The PR and citizenship residency calculations are not identical. As said above the PR calculation counts working for Canadian business outside, both the departure and arrival day. etc. etc. but for citizenship, you only get credit at one end, and no credit for working outside.

My passport should be expired at the end of the last month (september) and my application probably has been received on September 4th, will they consider it as expired passport?

I am not aware of any "normal" applications returned/denied just because of the applicant's passport expired/nearing expiry soon. In fact some one in similar situation called CIC earlier and they were told that it is fine and you can apply with expired passport. Also to note that I am not known of any specific instruction in CIC application/guide referring this requirement.

Having said that; if CIC find it difficult to determine about your where abouts for a period, which is relevant to residency and overlapping to your expiry, they may become suspicious and ask more documents/RQ etc.

As earlier many people were having a belief that reporting no travel, hiding a new passport with travels and showing only expired passport is an easy sort of scenario to faster processing/decision.

Considering the last few years record-breaking and tiring long citizenship process, I am sure that many applicants passports were expired during the course of process. But still I don't remember reading any reports of such indications.
