I've just received my PPR today.
Due to some planned travel outside of Canada in the next month, I do not think I will be able to send and receive my passport back in time.
I've sent CIC an email requesting an extension. Does anyone know if they are usually okay giving extensions under those circumstances? And how long they will usually take to reply to the email?


Timeline is as follows:
Application received: Sep 15th 2014
AOR: Jan 29th 2016
MR: Jan 23rd 2016
MR Sent: Feb 2nd 2016
RCMP Request: March 23rd
PPR: Sep 15th 2016 (Exactly 2 years from when application is received)

Hopefully everyone else hears something soon.

Hi my self krishna I never posted any any info in this forum but i am silently observing this forum but i have a big problem experts can you please help me

My time lines as fallows
I filed my pr application JUly 31 ,2014
AOR on OCT 24 ,Medicals on Jan 20, 2016 added my wife after that she Already in Canada came on SOWP On jan 31,2016
she got documents req on Feb 10, Paid RPRF both On March 10, Submitted my wife medicals old one which we used in process of SOWP she done in india on Dec 2 ,2015.

Now sep 7 ,2016 I got an email from Cic says i need to provide ROE from all my employers , Now i tried all my employers i submitted t4 from 4 employers its tough to get from other two employers they are in no more contact with me

and another thing yesterday my wife got Medical request but i replied them with old scanned copy which we done previously for SOWP

so please advice me How to answer about Roe why they asked me now after submitting pcc Paying RPRF and why they ask medicals again

Just give them whatever they are asking for . Medicals are valid for 1 year year
I believe . If yours has passed 1 yeAr provide them the new one. If you have a doubt call and ask them.

ROE is something you can download from your CRA account.

Hello all please advice, when I applied to cic in 2014 I used a lawyer now my application got rejected and my lawyer was still asking for balance (fee) for her job is that normal?

Hi, could please share detail reason that why your application got rejected after 2 years, please share your time line too. We all will be grateful, as we all are getting nervous now, in last 2 weeks so many applications are getting rejected after wait of 2 years.

Ya its normal, lawyer provided you services to prepare and file application, without any promise for permanent residency. Same like doctors, they can only give medicine without promise to cure any disease, but they still chathe fee for service and medicine.

Please share rejection details. Thanks
