September 2014 - CEC Applications

I am anxiously awaiting passport request. Last week CIC told my MP that my file should be finished processing in 3 weeks. Has anyone else gotten in touch with their MP? I'm a Sept 29th applicant.

Does contacting CIC through MP help in the process? Can we directly call the local MP office. What questions MP can ask from us before they contact CIC

The MP can get more information on the status of your application than you can. I just told his secretary how long I've been waiting and that the processing time keeps changing. I expressed interest in knowing what stage my application is in. She also asked me a few questions like, when was the last time cic contacted me and ask for my file number, address etc. CIC got back to my MP in 3 days with an update for me. Let's see if they actually stick to the time line they gave me.

I paided my right of residence fee on March 21 as requested by cic and have not received passport request as yet, September 25 applicant, is anyone waiting from that long also?

I am Sept 26 applicant and still waiting. We are all in the same boat. Have you requested any GCMS notes recently?

Total process from the day i sent docs to landing tool 609 days.

We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 30, 2015.
