Hi everyone,

I just finished my medical and thought I would share my experience as I'm sure many september applicants will now be doing this!

I went to Medisys in Toronto, mostly because they were the one able to offer me the earliest appointment.

The entire process took 2.5 hours (most of this waiting around) and cost $285. The price included tests and x-rays, and the x-rays can be done on the same day at a clinic that is around the corner from the doctors.

The doctor and staff were friendly and professional, but you don't get a lot of information. I asked and they informed me that they were usually able to send the results to CIC within 10 working days.

I hope that helps anyone who has their medical soon! Best of luck everyone :)

Hi,

What about Blood test?, here in Calgary they are asking to book separate appointment for Blood test.

All - the 2nd line seem to have been added in my ECAS today (which i am sure they are referring to the correspondence on AOR last year). Does it really mean anything ?

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on October 2, 2014.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 9, 2015

I had the bloodwork done at the same clinic where the doctor examined me. I guess it depends on what the doctor you see is able to offer?

If you got the MR and u go to an Emedical panelist... The reports are uploaded by the doctor. Once uploaded your Ecas will be update with medical received ( time taken for Ecas varies)

To be assured that your medical is uploaded and received by CIC it's recommended that u follow up with the doctor to check if the results were uploaded.... And after 3-4 days send email to CIC if they hv received it.

Thank you for the answer! :)

I went to Dr Tsai Jason Y S . It was early Monday morning appointment. It took about an hour for 2 adults and 4 year old child. We may have waited for about 15 to 20 minutes. But it was quite easy. Blood work was also done there itself. He charged us $160 per adult and $130 for child. It seems they have arrangements with York Radiology Consultants @ 1100 Sheppard East. Again it took us about 45 minutes there mostly waiting because actual Xray test took just about 5 minutes per person and charge for per person Xray test was $50.

Thanks

Friends ...Though to update my timelines
(In tracking sheet, find/update for AKJ)

NOC 2171
Received application for permanent residence on September 24, 2014.
Acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on February 4, 2015.
Medicals upfront on 04th September 2015. CIC call center agent confirmed results updated on phone. Also, confirmed over email by CPC.
RPRF paid upfront on 21st September 2015. I can check ecas with this receipt number and Nov 2015 GCMS notes confirm this.

Last line on ecas I see "We started processing your application on February 4, 2015." Call center response, its just indicative and may not be conclusive evidence.

Congratulations who have passed their waiting stages, and good luck to whom awaiting :)

Hello Seniors ,

Need one help .I have received the below email from CEC to submit the Police clearance Certificates .

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence in Canada. In order for us to continue the processing of your application, we require the following documents:

Ø Police Certificate: Please provide an original police clearance certificate from India

These must be received at this office by: 2016/04/24

You must send us the requested information by email within 60 days from the date of this letter.

Please reply directly to this email and put your application number in the title.

Few Queries ::

1) I have PCC from Passport office india with a date of 09th March 2015 , is that good to send . My application received to CEC is on 08th Sep 2014 .
2) Above mail says that i should send the original and that by email , that's confusing .
3) If i need to send the original what should be the address i should send the original document .

Thanks in advance

Sachin

A quick question about RCMP criminal record, should I prepare it before CIC requests as it takes several days?
I have received formal MR, does this imply that I am no longer required to submit criminal records?

Thanks forum.

Got my MR yesterday.
