September 2014 - CEC Applications

Sort of good news.
I'm Sept 15th applicant, looking at CIC making some progress I decided to do my upfront medical.
I did my upfront medical on Monday 31st Aug and sent my UMI number to CIC and this morning I got a reply from them that they received it. Getting a positive response from CIC in 3 days is pleasantly surprising. (not updated on CAS yet)

Second line received on Ecas:

We received your application for permanent residence on September 4, 2014.
We started processing your application on February 12, 2015.

Does anyone know what comes next?

Hi all,

I've also received the second line in ECAS. Does any one know what to expect next?

I'm wondering if I should apply via EE as it seems quicker. Am i allowed to have two concurrent applications or would there be any implications if i re apply via EE?

Any help is appreciated, thanks in advance!

No nothing, it is just an update everybody received. Don't get excited until something happening fast on august applications. We got received our notes, the worst part is, they never touched our file.

Hoping things will move normal from next week as summer holiday is over and there wont be any reason for delay...
Planning to request notes in another 2 weeks.

I think everything is not visible to us in GCMS notes, Couple of my colleagues who applied PR during June/July 2014 got approved & their GCMS notes were not saying anything until July 2015 & for them everything happened within a month.
Raising more GCMS notes doesn't help much, ball is in CIC court now...

Thank you Kota, it is very true if everything happens in 1 month you cannot get it in GCMS. Because GCMS is 30 days old and only unrestricted items will be shown to you.

I have seen a case in this post, where his wife medical is attached under his daughters name.
His wife medical assessment is NULL.
He is waiting for a long after MR. Once he clarifies this in Notes, he intimated to them and got decision made in couple of months. So notes is purposeful.

guys be aware of fraud cic calls .. some one jst called me from cic saying there is a case filed against me n gave me a case id i was half asleep lol n was so lost n worried then when i asked them abt wht case its abt they said if u r not born or rasies in canada u have to updatw ur status n that they sent some documents to me already which i never received then when i asked more questions the guy trfed me to his so called senior rep pr something he said n she aaid my passport has been suspended n i cant travel outside canada .. i said i dont even have canadian passport n then the girl said yea we have u r PR lol i said no m not then she goes oh u r a refugge ? i was like well u tell me cant u see mu status n then of course she hang up lol i called back no answer i googled the no it was a local ottawa where i also live..its under some under indian guys patel name n apparently they r scammers call ppl n ask them to pay alot of thousand dolllars they didnt ask me bcz i had alot of questions of course not to mention first they called my house no n it was bad connection so they called on my cell. the first guy didnt even knw my last name n couldnt even speak english properly.i could hear bunch of ppl around n he wanted my dad n moms cell no i said they dont have cell phones bcz they r not even in canada . then he goes abt filing a case from my dad under my name? didnt sound legit n i caught it lol when he asked to hold

Just got a third line on my ecas status, which now reads as follows:

1. We received your application for permanent residence on September 8, 2014.
2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on January 21, 2015.
3. We started processing your application on January 21, 2015.

When i check my status online, it says in process with just two lines that they received my application and they started processing my application on my AOR date.

Can someone suggest whether I should wait for medicals email for myself or just go ahead based on medical request for my wife and daughter and complete medicals for all including for myself?

Did you do something special ? you case sounds super faster than others ?

I am from India.

I even have not submitted my police certificate. I also wanted to check regarding police certificate that should I send police certificate along with medical results? Will CIC notice and accept police certificate along with Medicals or should i wait for CIC to request separately for Police certificate?

One more question, Currently my TRV application from india is also in process at Bangalore office. Is there any way to find whether the medical request mail is for PR application or for TRV application?
