Does CIC call centre tell you what's happening with your application currently? Like it passed the eligibility checks, waiting for security and criminal checks etc. Or do they just give you a vague answer like "it is still in process"?

Anyone tried calling the call centre to check on application status?

The standard reply is that the application is in process because they see the same status what we see on CIC website. ???

I had sent an email to CPC - Ottawa asking them to confirm if my documents have been received and associated with my application. They have duly confirmed it. Thanks!

No, the original PCC has to be sent by mail not by email.
