PASSPORT EXPIRING
Is there any requirement that passport should be valid for at least X number of months on the day PR will be issued? If my passport is still valid on the day PR will be issued but valid for only one or two months then can CIC ask me to get a new passport to issue the PR?

In my PPR email they specifically mentioned that the Passport should be at least valid for 6 months with at least 2 blank pages.

My eCAS was changed to Decision Made on either Friday or Saturday. I'm able to log in with my RPRF receipt. No PPR as I'm from a visa exempt country.

What are all the documents you would require for landing (or would help you while landing)?

Hi,

Here's what I took with me:
  • Passport
  • COPR
  • Proof of address (driver's license)
  • Current work permit
  • A print out of my bank statement/ my insurance coverage
  • A copy of my entire application, just in case
  • New photos

I believe if you're landing from outside Canada you have to fill in some other forms to do with the goods you are bringing.

Here's what they actually asked to look at:
  • Passport
  • COPR

And he agreed to take my new photos when I asked him to.

So you can see, I massively overprepared but I always would rather have everything to hand than not be able to give them something they want!

Hi,

Because I am from a visa exempt country, I didn't have to do PPR and so wasn't asked for new pictures, although I understand some people are at this stage.

I followed this guide when getting new photos: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/pdf/5445EB-e.pdf

The border guard seemed a bit surprised when I told him I had new photos but then he said that it could help speed up me getting my new card - so I hope that ends up working for me!

Hello,
I did my Upfront MR on the 11th and the following day I sent it to my representative and on Saturday I got the below email from my representative

"It is my understanding that the client must go to a designated medical
practitioner for the medical, and then that person sends the medical results
directly to Citizenship and Immigration. The confirmation is only for my records"

Now my representative didn't tell me if the confirmation I sent was emailed to cic or not I only received that email. Now I'm thinking if I have to email cic my self because my medical is still not showing in my ECAS since I did my Upfront MR.
Please advise. Thanks

Anyone who sent their passport on or after 17th March, got back the passport and COPR yet? How long CIC usually take to send it back?

I sent mine on 15th March but return tracker is not activated yet.

Hy could you tell me the size of the photos, bcz I already sent my photos with my ppr request but for some reason people are having trouble with the picture. Please reply. Thanks

What docs did they asked from you? What were the questions? Please share. Thanks!

Hi,

They only asked to see passport and COPR.

The questions were:
1) Had I been convicted or charged with any crimes?
2) Had I ever been refused entry / a visa to Canada?
3) Would I be importing any goods into Canada at a later date?

As all my answers to this were no, it was very simple!

I'm in same boat as well, Mine was sent out on 17 March, and hasn't delivered yet.
I called Canada Post twice and I been told it is in Ottawa and waiting to pick up by CIC.
