I am 99.9% sure that it is not legal to send Passport through courier outside country...Please do not take such chances...you are at final stages of ur PR and any such step can cause big damage.....
I dont know ur personal situation but worst case is that u have spend some money to go and devote some time to get ur family...but remeber this is one of the biggest moment of our life.....

Passport is a travel document and it cannot travel without a person. Your are 100% correct that you can send passports in courier. I you are not in Canada then you have to ask CIC to change it to your local visa office.

Hi Friends,
I got an email saying that the Receipt Number i got for RPRF has been linked to my application. When i tried to login with Receipt Number i got below error
"We were not able to identify you using the information you provided. There could be three possible reasons:

Please be sure the information you entered is correct and then try again."

How many days should i need to wait? I paid on March 08.

i paid upfront RPRF on march 4th n i was able to login today so for me it took a week but for other ppl 2 to 4 business days

MR request means Eligibility is recommended passed.

you will need to send an email to cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca including a copy of the PPR from them and indicate that your spouse is not in canada.

at that point, you should receive a response from them within a day or two, specifying the instructions for your spouse.


i would have definitely done this, if i was in your place. this way you will have some written confirmation from cic and you can always print the new instructions while sending the PP to your local visa office.

That is exactly what i have done already. Sent a mail to CIC yesterday and still waiting for reply. If required i will get help from some local agent and see how to proceed.

I too received request for NOA and T4 2014 on Tuesday. I sent it on the same day with a confirmation email the following day. Hopefully I will get MR next week. In any case I went ahead and book upfront medical for next week.

Hello Guys
Just ask your wife to send her passport to you in Canada and then submit all together to CIC , Inform your wife to select DHL as it takes 2-4 days to reach , I don't think that DHL could lose the envelope for any reason , I didn't heard that before , it always safe and deliver in 4 business days , even if it was lost and this is impossible , she can renew her passport in few days .

Hello guys, I did my upfront MR today and I was wondering when to email the form that has my UMI# to cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca?

And the doctor didn't give me any other form apart from the UMI.

Damn they slowed down on the ppr I guess.. I got rprf and paid it on march 3 but no news after that
