I am serious and my application was received on Sep 19

1. If you gone on Implied status during your new Work Permit application is in progress - Yes, you are eligible to work.
2. If you applied Work Permit renewal after the current WP expired - Implied status but you are not eligible to work

I remember Mississauga86 was asking this question before so I thought he applied renewal after first one got expired.

buddy I think if you apply for work permit renewal after current WP expires then you are in restoration period and not on Implied status.

I don't know if it have some special meaning. generally it is computer software related job, sounds not a big deal , maybe that guy is just very very lucky.

There isn't anything u can/should do. Since our current employer have already verified our SIN when we are employed, we will continue to get paid during implied status. Only thing is that we cannot start working for a new employer, since they cannot verify our SIN as it got expired.

Then my contract from employer1 ended on the last day of my current PGWP work permit expiry.

Hence from the next day i was technically on implied status right.?

In a couple of days, i started working part time for a new employer as i was allowed to continue working on the same conditions as the old work permit (which was a Open work permit).
Now I am getting scared if it was a valid work or not (anyways it was a NOC C job and does not count for CEC)
was my part time work at a new employer valid? Will this cause problem for my CEC application?

Hi Varun,

How did you possibly join a new firm on the next day of your work permit exipry. Didn't they ask for your SIN Number to verify. if there very are not worried it shouldn't be a problem I guess. Only thing is its better to have the doining date before the expiry of PGWP. purely my opinion. Not sure if its correct.

I believe anand reddy has applied under PNP and not CEC. If you see the PNP applications for Sep. 2014 thread, the discussion is about receiving MR.
