Just wanted to give an update on my status.

My application is In Process as of January 27th :)

I see in some previous posts that people say it shouldn't take longer than 9 months after being in process, sounds like good news to me.

I got finger print request
Will this slow my case down......how much behind will this put me ...few weeks or months ??

One good thing is , that I know my file got transferred to local office....bcoz I got that request from my local office

No, that shouldn't slow down your case. Your file is still considered a "routine application".

Just make sure to get the fingerprints done as soon as possible, so it can be attached to your file and CIC can resume working on it.
I'd assume they just need the fingerprints to finalize your background checks; at least that's what happened to me.

Hi

Fingerprints seems to be a regular occurrence lately. I got fprint rqst a month ago submitted digitally CIC has rcvd it my file is @ local office since mid Jan but she also said fprint makes it non-routine but i think it's just luck by my understanding they can call you on average between 2-6 months for test after it's been rqstd

Boa what was your experience?

I had my Oath Yesterday. The ceremony started around 9:40 and we were done by 11:00.

Normally how long does it take after fingerprints to test...

I getting fingerprinting request good or bad ?

Bad... will slow down your file ??

Its been more than 4 months since my file is been processed but its still in Sydney. The agent said again that my back ground check is done in the end of January and she doesn't see any thing wrong in it and they don't need any further document or any thing else . Then why my file is still in Sydney? I don't know what to say!

Well, in my case, my file has been sitting in the local office for over a month now, and still the test invite has not presented itself to me. What can I say?
