It's so sad. Because they bring people from other countries but they don't take any responsibility!!!!

they transferred my file to the local office about 2 months ago. it took them about 2 months to transfer my file once they started processing my application.

kindly, I have two questions. is your file in sydney or local office? and if it already is transferred how long it took for you?

I'm wondering if you see both Citizenship and PR renewal on the same page of your e-case? Or they are found in the different profiles?

hi everyone

There has been steady progress in this forum congrats on those with test & oath dates for those like myself who had fingerprint rqsts or just waiting we jusy have to be patient
Although my citizen is still "in procesd" @ mississauga office my PR renewal says "complete" it expires end of May which was really fast process (over one month) will call CIC Monday if in mail or need to pick up.
I hope now this will trigger off my test date as I presumei cant attend test/oath with an expired card??

You might want to call CIC and ask them again whether they transferred your file. In my case different agents tell me different things, some of them say my file is in the local office and some of them say it is still in Sydney.

As for my local office, I do believe that I have mentioned it a couple of times here or there. It's Vancouver.

hey there
its been a while i updated anything on here, even though im on almost everyday following other people's updates
i decided to call cic to see if there was any move on my application
got a really nice agent which was pleasantly surprising, was told my background check is complete and my file was transferred to local office (scarborough) since January 2014 :l

any advice on the processing times at scarboroug office at the moment?
its coming up to almost a year my application has been in and im so frustrated :/
i'll welcome any thoughts anyone has for me

Hi Every one....quick updates....I received a request to submit updated school records for my son in March 12, 2014.

A month later, Husband received a fingerprints request.Letter was from Calgary office so at least we know file has been transfered .

Waiting for the test letter now ...Hopefully.

Hi everybody,

I called CIC today to ask about my citizenship application status.

The agent who was a nice lady told me that everything is OK but my application is still in Sydney. My local office will send me the letter to write the test in COUPLE of months. The test has to be scheduled in the first 20 (or 24) months after receiving the application. However, she told me she highly doubt that I wait this long.
So my previous guess seems to be reasonable that I would probably be invited to the test in Nov. or something like that.
I usually call CIC every two months so I might call them again in 2-3 months and won't request any ATIP again.
