Hi katty,
I am in the same situation. I contacted my local cic office and got reply as I need to send my passport to ottawa only. I contacted toronto mp office too and got the same reply. I think you find a person who coming to canada from your country or fly to canada...

Hi sweethoj,

But in the email they said if you or any of your family member resides outside North America and unable to send the passport to canada they can make arrangement to print visa from other visa office but now they are saying this .. Strange ...

Finally the moment of Joy becoming Permanent Residence as overridden the waiting time and anxiety for past 10 months. Exactly 300 days from the application received at Sydney to landing formalities at Peace Bridge.
We family of 3 reached peace bridge around 1130 cautiously approached to a booth. I checked our passport and provided yellow slip. We parked our car and entered to a building and we were greeted by Indian young female officer and asked no question .She was busy entering all the details in the system and within 15min; we were out of the building.
Truly this forum helped immensely through personal experience and ton of valuable information. I will around to share and contribute to the best of my knowledge.
All my wishes for those who are waiting for next stage in processing and I hope to see few flocks after 3 yrs in the citizenship thread.

Best of luck :) :) :) :)

was just checking the processing of application...it's been a long time...thank you all....couldn't have done it without you guys :D ;D :-*

1. We received your application for permanent residence on November 30, 2012.

2. We started processing your application on December 10, 2013.

3. Medical results have been received.

4. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

5. You entered Canada at the Fort Erie Peace Bridge office on February 18, 2014 and became a Permanent Resident.

To complete my record, I've just landed from Prescott Bridge.
The landing procedure is really situational, from web I see some guy can park his car inland and head to custom office to complete the PR landing, without exiting Canada.
But to me it doesn't work. I have to drive to US border to receive a refusal letter.

Decision made received today! Well, could have been anytime since med's receive on Friday, but I'll assume today.

Shouldn't be any PPR for me, as I'm a British citizen. So hopefully COPR will arrive soon :-)

Graham.
