Hi everyone,

I need help from each of you (who can help me? ???).

When I send the application to CIC, I didn't have any property to put as Asset (just a car), but now I managed to buy a flat and the question is, in your opinion, would it be better to send the property documents to the VO now?

you are on FSW2 you do not have to need show more proof of funds ......whatever you write that time thats ok.....do not worry......although when your medical would arrive you may show again in your new application kit.......

Hi eshotel,

The safest way is to ask your friend or relative to bring your passport from India if they are coming to Canada. You cannot post passport from India to another country because of security reasons. Write down one letter to immigration officer and state that you want to receive your passport at your Indian home address and put this letter with your passport and medical receipt and then send it to India.
I am not sure about this so please clear this point that why are you sending landing fees with your passport to India?
I think you have to pay this fees when you enter/re-enter to Canada at Canadian border.
Please verify this and also let me know.

Hi Neha, thnx for ur reply. i did called vfs regardin ds n vfs now finished their contract with indian embassy n passport so vfs is done. so as last resort u said will b a friend or relative comin here. Neha as per email i received from NDVO as medical request they specifically requested RPRF(Right of Permanent residency fee). so i already sended last week. i will be keep postin n updatin. i wish u wil get urs soon. thnx

Folks,

I know everyone like me, is anxiously waiting for their next update from CIC. I hope CIC sends us MR requests soon.

Alright here is my situation, share your thoughts...

I started working in Canada since Jan 2011 with WP and I submitted my PR application in Aug 2012 under FSW category -- CPP-O, NOC-0213, App received by CIC on 23-Aug; while my CC was charged on 25-Oct and PER sent on 29-Oct'12. I didn’t receive any update from them since then nor any progress seen in the GCMS notes, which I requested few weeks back. The GCMS notes showed that none of the admissibility’s checks were started and due date showed as 29th Oct 2013 for everything. I am assuming this due date could be their ETA with 1 year from PER date. (Hmmm….I always had this second thought that applying under CEC would have been better; but didn’t have that chance since I already paid out for FSW).

My current WP is expiring by Oct'13 and added to that my employer is planning to transfer me to the US.

What would happen to my PR application when I relocate to US? Do I need to update my address with CIC with new US address, will it delay my processing ? If I update US address, will it be processed at CPP-O? Or should I try to use any of my friends address in Canada?

Can you include NOC code in your tables. I suggest you to remove few col's and keep everything in one table, else a spreadsheet will be better.

. CIC explained that "Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.". More details can be shown in Help Centre on CIC.
PER	:	Positive Eligibility Review - An email which shows your file number and so on. It will be sent from CIO if your application passes the initial eligibility review. See the other thread titled "What is PER", a senior's website or this pic for more details.
AOR	:	Acknowledgment of Receipt - An email which informs that your full documents have been received by visa office and has been put in queue for processing. Sometimes this is called "2nd AOR" or "Waiting letter" ; In this case, "1st AOR" means "PER". See the other thread titled "what is 2nd AOR" for more details. You can also see the 2nd AOR from Vienna Visa Office (Thanks Doni!)
MR	:	Medical Request - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to take medical exams. It might be included in the Initial Assessment. Manila Office seems send MR together with 2nd AOR. (Tanks rhen ongsico for the information!)
PPR	:	Passport Request or Confirmation of Permanent Residence - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to send VO your passport. If you are a citizen of the countries or territories listed in CIC website, you probably receive a "Passport Request". If you are from the visitor visa exemptions country, you maybe receive a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" instead of the passport request and then you can go landing directly and immediately.

CIC updated the processing times for FSW. (They said "Last quarterly update: April 24, 2013" but actually, it was updated today...)
Unfortunately, processing times of many office increased 1-2 months. Vienna's is same as before. Ottawa's decreased but I don't know are those true.
Fingers crossed for us!

Hi,

Just in my opinion, you need to update your address with new US address.
You may send CPP-O a letter written by your employer/boss. The letter will explain that you will relocate to US as an employee of your current company, and you still have the arranged employment.
I think your relocation won't affect your process/processing times because your employer is a Canadian company. However, you will need your friend's address in order to receive your PR card.

Regarding CEC, as you know, if you apply under CEC then you can wait outside of Canada. If you feel some risks (your employer will be change to US company etc), CEC is better as you said. You can apply CEC without withdrawing FSW application, although the fee is not inexpensive.

I was surprised when I read your post that explained your due date.
Amazing that they mention that your process wasn't started yet but everything will be finished before next November. I hope the due date will be realized.

I think for FSW the work permit should be valid both at the time of application and at the time of receipt of PR. I would suggest if your employer is a canadian employer , you should try for a Bridging open work permit hoping that the Pr will be processed before October 2014. The next best option is for a CEC application which is independent of the work permit status and the employer.

And, to maintain status at the time of receipt of PR, if I apply for BOWP online within 4months of current WP expiry, can I travel out of Canada to US and return back without visa on BOWP? Or should I get VISA stamping done for entry back to Canada?

You dont need to send any letter explaining why you are sending passport from abroad and why you need it to be mailed to your local address. Embassy always asked for Indian mailing address along with RPRF & Passport request and they will certainly send it to your Indian mailing address only.
Lot of applicants sent and brought passport through friends and relative (they need to carry authority letter from you to carry your passport) including me.

If you hold a valid permit (Study/WP) you dont need VISA to travel between US and Canada. I myself did it many times.
