hi guys, never i received any email from Manila Visa Office regarding AOR after Nov 8 when i got my PER. and it's been 4 months.

PRAISE and GLORY TO GOD, i just received my MR this morning 1am (Canada Time), and right after work I went straight to the Clinic to get an appointment and my medical examination will be scheduled on March 28.

Additional info on my ECAS.. "We started processing your application on March 11, 2013."

Hoping and Praying that Everyone will get their MR very soon.... and finally our PR's.. fingers crossed.

Atleast somebody got the MR ;D...lets see when does the Ottawa office wake out of slumber

Did anyone of you sent POLICE CLEARANCE(PCC) after getting file number? Can i sent my pcc now? or do i need to wait untile they ask me?

if i sent my pcc without their request willl it affect my processing time ? some one told me that processing time mY INCREASE >? DO ANYONE have this experience?

. CIC explained that "Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.". More details can be shown in Help Centre on CIC.
PER	:	Positive Eligibility Review - An email which shows your file number and so on. It will be sent from CIO if your application passes the initial eligibility review. See the other thread titled "What is PER", a senior's website or this pic for more details.
AOR	:	Acknowledgment of Receipt - An email which informs that your full documents have been received by visa office and has been put in queue for processing. Sometimes this is called "2nd AOR" or "Waiting letter" ; In this case, "1st AOR" means "PER". See the other thread titled "what is 2nd AOR" for more details. You can also see the 2nd AOR from Vienna Visa Office (Thanks Doni!)
MR	:	Medical Request - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to take medical exams. It might be included in the Initial Assessment. Manila Office seems send MR together with 2nd AOR. (Tanks rhen ongsico for the information!)
PPR	:	Passport Request or Confirmation of Permanent Residence - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to send VO your passport. If you are a citizen of the countries or territories listed in CIC website, you probably receive a "Passport Request". If you are from the visitor visa exemptions country, you maybe receive a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" instead of the passport request and then you can go landing directly and immediately.

It's awesome that Manila has sent you the medical request only 3 days after when they started your process!

In the past, seniors received 2nd AOR from Manila a few weeks later from PER and got MR after 4-5 months from AOR, but today Manila start processing without sending 2nd AOR... and now we know "the 2nd AOR from Manila is NOT a waiting letter" from your profile
Hope VOs to keep up the good work... and everyone will move on to the next step soon.

hi, yeah i sent it together with all the documents though mine was only valid for 3 months but then i renewed it already but i never sent it to the Visa office since they're not requesting for it as well as my new work permit before. I never heard anything from them for the past 4 months but I got MR yesterday morning through email. I asked my other friends who were PR now if i need to sent it now, but they advised me not to coz it might affect the processing .. they said they might think i'm being defensive or something like that.

so might as well wait for their instruction(VO) if they'll be needing it.

Thanks mysteaka! It was really awesome! I was just actually expecting for an AOR but for 4 months i have this dilemma if my papers reached my VO or it was lost or something. Because i had two friends who were PR now that has the same category as us. that after PER 15 days you should expect your AOR. but then it took 4 months, but it was really amazing that it was MR. and they sent it through email, bec before it was through mail. even with the medical examination now, coz i am so worried that they scheduled me on March 28 and the results needs to be forwarded on April 13.. but everything now is electronically done... they're really trying to speed up everything i guess before the resuming of application on May 4.

I hope they do it fast. There are people on this thread who have applied in Sept/oct/nov 2012.

I don't think Ottawa gives out 2nd AOR anymore. Must be meds directly. Or apply for GCMS

Hello all,

I had sent a case specific inquiry but did not get any reply. Wondering what happened to my application? 10 days gone and i read that they will respond in 28 days or may not. I have a representative but they are useless.

If I did not get any reply can I apply for GCMS or I had to wait for that for 8 months.
