If the New Delhi visa office is yours, I guess you will receive the medical request within 3-4 months as seniors did so.

Thanks Mysteaka. My visa office is Ottawa. I just realized that there's a difference between AOR and PER. I mentioned AOR in my previous post, but I think it should be PER since it's the first email I received from Sydney indicating my file number and the visa office my file was directed to.
When you say 3 to 4 months, is that from the PER date?

| AOR | : | Acknowledgment of Receipt - An email which informs that your full documents have been received by visa office and has been put in queue for processing. Sometimes this is called "2nd AOR" or "Waiting letter" ; In this case, "1st AOR" means "PER". See the other thread titled "what is 2nd AOR" for more details. | MR | : | Medical Request - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to take medical exams. It might be included in the Initial Assessment. |
| PPR | : | Passport Request or Confirmation of Permanent Residence - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to send VO your passport. If you are a citizen of the countries or territories listed in CIC website, you probably receive a "Passport Request". If you are from the visitor visa exemptions country, you maybe receive a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" instead of the passport request and then you can go landing directly and immediately. |

Regarding to CPP-O, we have to wait much longer.
I don't know how long should we wait for MR, but according to another posting ( http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/may-2012-applicants-t103642.0.html;msg2106414#msg2106414 ), an application filed in May 2012 is still untouched. I think it means CPP-O didn't start processing for May 2012 applications yet... so probably ours aren't started yet either.
I read some other threads, and it seems that CPP-O is currently processing for 2010 - early of 2011 applicants whose files are transferred from Buffalo.

I don't think it should take years for Ottawa office to complete the whole process. Ottawa processing time is currently 15 months on CIC for applications received on or after June 26, 2010. It's 30 months for application between Feb. 27, 2008 and June 25, 2010. Anything before Feb 27, 2008 would have to wait until infinity
This means we should have the PR before end of 2013 if I understand this correctly.
