Hi Mysteaka,

So it means we people from ottawa office will not get AOR . we will directly get medical request from ottawa office right ??
@shahid_iet
I have no idea, I'm afraid...
I think Ottawa has too much backlogs and their process is stacked. Since I read some other threads, I have negative attitude and doubt Ottawa's processing time.

Currently, I guess that CPP-O doesn't send 2nd AOR due to some reason.
* I couldn't find a person who got 2nd AOR from Ottawa.
* They announce that they DON'T provide routine status updates (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp FAQ #2). They will get in touch with us if more information is required to continue the processing.

I applied June 2012
Still underprocess

VO : Visa Office. For processing times, see "Processing times for federal skilled worker applications" on CIC website. CIC explained that "Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) calculates processing times from the day CIC receives an application to the day it makes a decision on the application.". More details can be shown in Help Centre on CIC.

PER : Positive Eligibility Review - An email which shows your file number and so on. It will be sent from CIO if your application passes the initial eligibility review. See the other thread titled "What is PER", a senior's website or this pic for more details.

AOR : Acknowledgment of Receipt - An email which informs that your full documents have been received by visa office and has been put in queue for processing. Sometimes this is called "2nd AOR" or "Waiting letter" ; In this case, "1st AOR" means "PER". See the other thread titled "what is 2nd AOR" for more details.
You can also see the 2nd AOR from Vienna Visa Office here (Thanks Doni!)

MR : Medical Request - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to take medical exams. It might be included in the Initial Assessment.

PPR : Passport Request or Confirmation of Permanent Residence - An email (or a regular mail) that requests you to send VO your passport. If you are a citizen of the countries or territories listed in CIC website, you probably receive a "Passport Request". If you are from the visitor visa exemptions country, you maybe receive a "Confirmation of Permanent Residence" instead of passport request and then you can go landing immediately.

Hi suchnaju,

I think that CIO Sydney is not your local VO because you received PER.
Basically, your local VO must be you selected one on the Generic Application Form for Canada [IMM 0008] form ("APPLICATION DETAILS", Q4). Ask your consultant so you can get your local VO name.

Or....
According to Application for permanent residence: Federal skilled worker class (IMM 7000), your local VO is:
* your country of nationality, or
* the country in which you are residing, provided that you have been lawfully admitted to that country for at least one year.
Visa offices outside Canada: Countries / Territories and corresponding Canadian visa offices will help you to know where you should send your extra docs.

If it's difficult for you to make sure, I recommend you to ask CIC.

Good luck :)

Hello Guys,

Hi Guys,

Hope everyone had a wonderful start to their new year.

I just wanted to get some confirmation with regards to processing time for FSW (AEO) via CPP Ottawa. I have had a discussion with my lawyer and I am being repeatedly told that the new timelines of around 8 months would be for applications under new policy and the processing time for current application is still around 28 months.

Now this seems really confusing that why would CIC put processing time for something ongoing for something that hasn't been started yet. I would appreciate if you guys can help me clarify this please as it's really disheartening.

Thanks,

This is totally ridiculous because the approximate processing time is given based on 80% applications approved. Moreover, the table clearly says the effective date of the average processing timeline. Where do you find these kind of lawyers?

Hi,

According to Guide 7000, they said
If you are including your police certificates with your application to the CIO, please ensure that your certificates were not issued more than three months earlier.
As I know, many seniors understand your police certificate must be issued within 3 months.
I heard that one of FAM applicant has sent PCC issued 4 months ago from her home country, with the cover letter that shows "she didn't go back to her home country after she got the PCC", and CIC accepted it. However, on the other hand, CIC requested some applicants to resubmit newest PCC.

I heard that we should wait the request from CIC if we didn't submit the PCC with our application to CIO-Sydney, but I couldn't find evidences.
If you send your PCC to Ottawa, send your original Police Certificates via a regular mail to; (See http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/canada/ottawa.asp FAQ #6)

Case Processing Pilot – Ottawa
219 Laurier Avenue West, 7th floor, section B
Ottawa, Ontario K1A 1L1
Canada

A senior said, "In some countries, you cannot receive PCC to your hands and need to order it shipped directly to the office requesting it. For that, you need AOR, so i guess i can request it to be sent to CPP-O directly." in the other thread.
(Maybe the senior means you can send PCC without the requesting)

Good luck :)

it has been 15 days for PER receipt (Email). and i havn't got mail (PER) yet.
