Or maybe they're not actually following any schedule and just glance at our applications every once in a while tacking on minor updates. I don't think anyone knows how these people operate.

I really don't get how they do it, for working experience, I work longer than to my co worker, And for criminality,he went to middle east already, So how come he is done and got his Mr already, when me and my wife got a good record and only came from our home country. :(

For sure different Nationality could have different processing times, meaning depending upon your home country.

nah. we have the same nationality :( he went to middle east to work there

Security is completed by CSIS. Depending on your history, name Etc, checks can take much longer for particular applicants. Some apps require multiple reviews by different vo's - others don't. Not all applications are the same - that's a main reason for the differences people are seeing.

Hi All,

I am also a sept application. My application was received on Sept 17th. I applied under NOC 4012 (research and teaching assistant). I applied for my GCMS notes a month ago and received it today. It seems my application has been sent to another visa officer for further review. Here is what it says:

The PA meets working approximately full time hours while also completing her master's degree and working towards her phd. There is no explicit evidence to suggest that the research conducted as an RA was not in support of her studies. Review required.

I guess I'll be rejected for eligibility :(

Any ideas?

Lawyer right now. Talk to your professor, explain your situation and see if s/he can write anything to rectify the situation and allay the CIC's concerns. It is absolutely critical you act fast.

OMG I am 4012 NOC as well... my GCMS notes should be in next week. Did you already have a degree from canada and applied while working towards PHD (i.e. AFTER ur masters??)????? or while completing masters????

I am in the same boat as you!!!

Yes! I completed my masters and half way through my phd I applied!
I know many people who got their PR with RA/TA during their phd without a masters in Canada!
It seems it highly depends on ur VO! I hope u get lucky! Let us know what happens in ur notes!

I dont understand why even in the dept there are so many differences!! I know many people too who have got PR using TA and RA hours!!
This is just ridiculous... I am going to my local MP monday morning and asking them to into it for me!

Hope the second officer who reviews your file says that RA work is fine and should be counted!

Its insane how they take 9 months to look at eligibility!

Man, I would give anything to see a MR for a September applicant, I wouldn't even care what order they are in. I just want to see some movement around here so I can restore my confidence and faith in the CIC!!!

Those people probably applied to FSW-PhD class! You can apply after your second year in that but you need to show $11,000 in your bank account for that!

But I have do heard people got PR using CEC class, infact my lawyer suggested CEC thn to wait for FSW-PhD class (I am now in my 2nd year of PhD)!
