Thanks Ryathe, I think they only ask for passport if they need to put in a visa like when I got a working holiday visa to Australia and UK I had to send my passport. In my wife's case they will mail the COPR to Spain then her family will ups it to canada as she is here Visiting and we can go to USA boarder and flagpole. I'm guessing a letter will arrive in Spain next week and then they can send it to canada. Ill make sure to let you know. I'm going to set up another post once landed detailing everything that happened and will make sure to keep answering questions for people. I'm 99.9 % sure we r approved. I think that all September applicants should be getting there answers in the coming weeks and months also. Another thing is I think paying all fees upfront helps speed process along

Wondering if I should be concerned....I keep reading people's apps as "In Process" for those also in the Sept 2012 thread. Ecas still shows "We received xxx's application for permanent residence on September 24, 2012."

So, no movement at ALL. Is this normal? Why do they show my app rec'd the date it was rec'd in Mississaqua for Sponsorship approval?Sponosorship was approved Nov 2nd...

I guess we have nothing to worry about as long as we're still within the turnaround time. all we can do is pray and hope for the best. time flies so fast anyway, so let's just keep ourselves busy. goodluck to us!

It's completely normal! Everyone's ecas says that until it goes into process. Some people are in process or have PPR because their visa offices behave in different ways (e.g. New Delhi requests passports at the beginning of the process, not at the end). Some VOs are being uncharacteristically speedy, however!

Does everyone's status show that Immigration rec'd your app when the package was originally rec'd to do the Sponsorship stage? I know they rec'd our package Sept 24th, but the Sponsorship wasn't approved until Nov 2nd. So why does it show they rec'd my PR app Sept? Is that when the 10 months begin??

They show the date when the CIC received your documentation but 10-month thing starts when your case is transferred to the local VO.

Yes dear. And mine was received sept25. Husband got approved nov5. Processing time in my VO is 11mos.
