Yesterday we received an email from HK visa office said they received our PR application on 10/29 which is an AOR2.

Mine Ecase shows apllication for sponsorship recived and application for PR recevived .... what does this mean? I am confused because mail which we recived states that my file is transfered to my visa office where as status says that my application is just recived

Dont always relay on ecas. Sometimes they're updating it late. As long as the mail you've received stated that it was already transferred then all good. hope that helps.

My husband in canada received an email on 2nd nov that the sponsoprship is approved and the file has accordingly been transferred to new delhi visa office. on checking the ecas we could see appl received under both heads i.e. Appl for sponsorship & Appl for Permanent residence. I just hope that my file is already transferred to NDVO and the ecas will be updated accordingly soon.

Can anybody give an idea as to what extent of an application is judged by CIC & what's left for the respective visa offices??

I have really become impatient. Seems like the biggest job in my life is counting days..... Hope things happen fast!!

Hello, i just want to know who can log in at ecas using receipt no.? Because i cant log in if i am using that info... And i wanna know why? But if im using uci/app # i can enter. Haha but why cant receipt#? Thanks much! Godbless.

Congrats. When did you send your application and when was it received by CIC-M? You can also add yourself to the spreadsheet tracker.

CIC's only job is to evaluate the sponsor's application and make sure that all applications are complete. They determine the sponsor's egligibility and the application is forwarded to the visa offfice to determine the applicant's eglibility........i.e medicals, if marriage is genuine, criminality, background checks .....

Thanks for the clarification. This means the major job is done by the VO. Hmmmm..... a long way to go!!
