Thanks a lot for your valuable info. I will search the link for medical extension and let you know if I have any problem.

Great news, if applicants medical is about to expire and that is the only reason an officer is holding onto your application or is going to ask you to provide more papers, then the officer by the new law do not have to wait for another medical he would just ask for a reassessment of the old medical and make it valid for another 12 months. In short if your application only needs a new valid medical report to be approved then thats ok you dont have to wait cause the officer is going to reassess that. here is the link that you can check

sweeet! how is the reassessment done? do you need to go back to the doctor to answer a few questions and pay some $$$ again? hehe, just curious.

Most probably it means that if your medicals expire in November and the apps is in the decision stage then you will go to a doctor and he/she will reconfirm that you are still healthy, and what was written in your previous medicals is true.

I know it's premature to talk about this but It's good to know. That means I would need to drive 4 hours again ??? yikes

I got a good link which I want to share with you, it's list of all spreadsheets.

Does anyone know whether the processing times for outland sponsorship applications with a Quebec destination are processed any faster or slower because of the different documentation requirements?

Does it go to Mississauga? If it did, then they are all under the same sack. Hopefully ANYBODY from here can give us any news in the next few weeks. It gives me hope.

I think it'll even take a bit longer, as the process is the same as for anybody else (Mississagua - home land visa office) PLUS Quebec's approval. :(

But let's be optimistic! :)

The sponsorship application went to Mississauga, but the package of documents for Quebec is a little smaller because you don't need to submit all of the same forms for sponsorship for Quebec that you do for other provinces (but of course you have to do the Quebec Selection Certificate). I know the Quebec Selection Certificate will add a few weeks, but I'm just wondering whether Quebec applications that were sent to Mississauga would be put in a special pile in Mississauga that takes more time or - obviously what I'm personally hoping - less time. I guess we'll find out sometime in November!

You never know! They have been so unpredictable..... Let's hope for the best 8)

Our application was received by CPC-M today ! I'm the sponsored person and I'm bound for Quebec. I think processing for Quebec applicant will be a little bit longer because of QSC. Based on other forum, I've read that it takes 3-4 weeks for this certificate to be issued if sponsor is approved. Let's hope for the best ;D
