we both go emails because we had given our email address. so if delhi asks for passport is tat good like no interveiw and visa might not have problems

Yes..put all fees with sponsor's forms because if they can't find it they will send back...not separate containers.....I used the big black clips and clipped together all the applications as one......then emails with a separte clip, texts separate clip, tickets/receipts/phone bills another clip and for our pictures put them in envelopes and put on the outside of each envelope dates - events - people in pictures......my pictures were all 4x6 photos.........if Iwould have used a photo program and printed them out at home on paper would have just clipped those together as well....but since I took the cheap way out and had them printed I put them in envelopes because you can't attach them to anything!!!

no do not paste the pictures on paper....they tell you not to right in the instructions; you can either print out your pictures or you can print them on 8.5 x11 paper and write captions underneath!!!!

Hey chickie72......everything is great....Yoani is adjusting really well....and this week he is trying to focus on getting employment....not an easy thing to do in our area

But yes super excited about Christmas this year...he loves the decorations I have up and now the lights are starting to pop up on people's houses and he is amazed!! My whole family will be together at Christmas and it is going to be wonderful!!!

I hope there is some movement in Kingston soon chickie72....it has been so quiet for so long there it seems.......I keep watch on you to see on things are going!!!

That's correct! If you have a some photography software, you can do this little easier. I have Photoshop elements 8. I used the option collage to make the image, By this way you can attach two pictures in one 8.5' x 11' paper. Also you can type the text in the text box. The results are so pretty.

hi forum mate, anybody from manila? can u give me some input on how to get certificate from cfo office Manila , i have read some postings on other sites that interviewers are very strict and ask a lot of documents except from what they posted on cfo website, what time should i go there, any advise please, thanks a lot!

Question! - Passport Request?

hey guys,
not sure if i'm doing the right thing by posting here, as i'm pretty new. i have a few questions!

i have been approved as a sponsor! woot woot! so this has got me thinking. my spouse and i are going to manila in december (he is flying from the toronto airport with me) and afterwards he will have an extended visit instead of going back to the US. we have applied outland.
1) will there be any issues, for example, with the passport request? what is the purpose of the passport request?
2) will he have issues at the border when he comes to visit me?
3) if let's say he receives the passport request while he is here in Canada during his visit BEFORE we leave for manila, does he have to give it right away?
4) how will he be notified that they are requesting for his passport?
5) if he receives the passport request while he is here in Canada during his visit AFTER manila, will he have to leave Canada and go back to the US then send the passport from the US? How long will it take until he gets his passport back?
6) Or would he be able to just drive over to the border, present his passport then get his visa?
7) OR have i gotten this all wrong?

Aaaaugh, my VO timeline went up by a month. I was already expecting our application processing to be longer by about two months than typical because my husband is not visa exempt and thst seems to make everything longer. I really hope it drops at the next update because I don't know how I'm going to manage another year of our life on hold. Sigh. What a Monday.

why does it seem like the approval times for october are faster? also, i just compared mine against the other applicants and it seems like they had a faster turnaround time than mine for sponsorship approval, even though they had submitted their applications after mine. should i be worried?

Nope, no need to be worried as long as you got your approval. October had a shorter processing time. If you look at the other spreadsheets for the year, the time it took for sponsor approval generally aligned with the timelines on the CIC website. Some months were luckier than others.
