most welcome
i think you should wait for request from CIC. i am not sure about processing time of your visa office. if you think you are close to get passport request than you can go ahead and get police clearance now to avoid any delay.
best of luck

thank you... my docs was transfered last 30 Sept 2011 in Singapore.. I knew someone from singapore got his visa at the first week of Feb so base on his timeline, i might be close for passport request or so..bec im not pretty sure how long would it takes for me to get a police clearance in Taiwan since i dont know anyone from there.. thanks

We just got an email requesting for an interview in Beijing VO on March 6 and we are preparing to go down to Beijing, hopefully will come back with a visa on hand. Right now, just a little bit nervous, just wondering does anyone has an interview with the Beijing office? Will the interviewer ask many questions? Anyone have any ideas?

got my COPR today! :D

Good morning and congrats Elizabeth Joe. Have not been on the forums much as I'm trying not to get depressed becasue CPC-M has not sent our sponsorship approval letter yet. We are approved cause my husband called 3 times and they said they sent it in January and were going to resend it but still nothing yet. I'm not the only one though as i know a couple of people who are still waiting for their letters to get second approval for their CSQ. That's what we are waiting on it for as well. I'm hoping we get something soon this is just ridiculous now. My meds expires in July adn i'm hooping to be done with this process before then. Congrats to all who have landed and had PPR's.

Have a blessed day all

OK so I have quite a strange update!

You may remember I posted that I hadn’t received an AOR from Buffalo at all, not even anything from Mississauga!

Anyway, so I sent Buffalo a case specific enquiry to see if they had my application on the 6th February. Having heard nothing back, I went away skiing last week and mid week on the 16th February my eCas suddenly changed to decision made! I was like what the hey?! No AOR! No in process - just straight to that! I was a little worried it may have been bad news! :(

On my return from skiing, I had a knock on the door this morning and a Canada Post guy had an envelope for me from the High Commission in London! It was my COPR!!! :o My visa office was supposed to be Buffalo, which was confirmed by the call centre as I had been admitted to Canada for a year, but it seems I was sent to London to alleviate the backlog at Buffalo and be processed quicker! 4 ½ months in all!

I am still shocked now! Can’t believe it is all over! Plan is to land this weekend and celebrate with family and friends a lot! Want to thank everyone for the support and advice in this post and I wish all remaining Septembrians a speedy approval.

Cheers.

thank you ashunandal. But does the PR needs to be "activated" before I can land in Us without US visa?

Or If I just buy the ticket and do the conections in US telling them that I am going to Canada for FIRST time with my PR is enough?

PR has nothing to do with it.
If you have Visa (that is the stamped in your passport)
to enter into Canada that should be fine
I do not about Transit thrhough USA require a visa or not
if you do not want to go out of the air port for a smoke! (..kidding..)

Guys, finally I got my visa today!!! :) Thank you God!!!..To all those who are still waiting their visas, you're almost there. Just keep on praying and believing that God really grant us what our hearts desires. Good luck!
