Hey Guys,

I wanted to share the latest update on my cousin's Study Permit application status. Since there are a lot applicants in the same boat with similar timeline, I thought it would be beneficial to share the news.

Application Type : SDS
Date Submitted : March 26, 2020
AIP Received : August 13, 2020
Request for New Medicals : Dec 23, 2020
Medicals Approved : Dec 30, 2020
Biometric validity confirmation : Jan 6, 2021
Request for Passport : Jan 6, 2021

Final decision:
  • Your application was approved. You need to send us your valid passport to finalize your application. Check your messages below for details.

His application was refused Thrice in past 1.5 yrs, so this news brought great joy :)

I hope every applicant can get the similar updates ASAP.

Firstly, thank you for sharing a positive update.
Can you please answer the following questions for the group's benefit?
1. You said he was refused thrice in the past. Can you please share how did you overcome these refusals and what different did you did this time with the 4th application?

2. Since your cousin's application date was in March 2020 and you got PPR in Jan 2021, was he/she deferring the admission all the time until the next update was received from IRCC? How were you communicating this deferral information to IRCC?

3. For what intake is your cousin finally going to come to Canada?
