Hi All,

I am a September 2014 applicant and I've been waiting for the medical request for quite a while. I've got my AOR at the end of January but had not had any communication with CIC since.

Can anyone tell me if there're has been any update in the Medical request dates from Sept applicants? Also, do they send you a letter or an email for the medical?

Thanks for your help. I am planning on ordering my file notes, but wanted to see if anyone knows what's going on.

There is a separate thread for Sep 2014 applicants. You might want check there. Below is the link.

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t237020.0.html

Thanks. I know about the thread. I often check the spreadsheet, but it's not been updated for a while. I did check the August thread and it seems that CIC is behind, again. Not much info on the Sept discussion board.

Do they send you and email or a letter requesting the medical? Anyone?

it is an email. Although, you can do medicals upfront (like me) and cut down any wait times around that. Medicals are good for a year so no harm doing that.

Thank you. That helps.

I thought they give you a list of places where you can go and get it done, so that's why I was waiting. But getting them done in advanced seems like a good idea, especially because they take forever to process stuff.

If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pay for your medical?

Hey I am a Sept applicant, I have this information from ECAS

We received your application for permanent residence on September 22, 2014.
We started processing your application on February 23, 2015.

Few of my friends from August have just started recieving there Medical request, however I have not it yet.

Could anyone guide me if I could do the medicals upfront?

Anyhelp appreciated. Thanks in advance

Hi,

This is the info I found on CIC website about how to go about the medica[ exam. Hope this helps:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/medical/medexams-perm.asp

Anyone knows how much they cost?

Please don't start new threads. Posting in septembers topic would have made more sense to you. If applicants from August are still waiting how the **** you think you should get your MR before July and August applicants. Starting new stupid threads you are just making more work to people who have to find the right topic. If more people like you start doing this crap then this forum will be f****d. Just a humble request.

Excuse me! I didn't start a new thread. I just posted a question. I think one person, and one person only thought it was a new thread when it was just a question

And there is no need to use that language! Geesh!

Re: Sept 2014 applicant waiting for medical request- Questions- Not a new thread

There is no more way to accelerate the process, We can only waiting the mercy of CIC.

Three things we actually can do are:

a: if the Medical check fee is not a big deal for you , then do it now.

b: take 1 minute to think about what you will have to do if something bad really happened.

Re: Sept 2014 applicant waiting for medical request- Questions- Not a new thread

Hi,

I need some help from seniors here.

Topic : Upfront Medical

I am a Sept 2014 Applicant & have received AOR in Jan2015.

Like others, I also have not received the MR as of now, but would like to go for upfront medical.
(Reason : Planning for a Baby & dont want to affect medicals as Xray would be problem during pregnancy)

Queries :

1. Whats the process of upfront medical in India ? I checked with one doctor, he said that I can go for upfront medical &
he can issue a UMI number which can be linked to IME number (given by CIC in MR). IS THAT CORRECT ?
I saw on the forum that people have gone thro upfront medical & their results have been received by CIC...I am curious to know...HOW ?

DO we need to send something to CIC or Doctor will send ?

If doctor will send, then how he will link to the application ?

2. I received only 1 UCI in AOR...Is that sufficient for both of us ? or do my spouse need to have another UCI ?

Doctor asked me if I have 2 UCIs(1 for myself & 1 for wife) & I said NO, as AOR has only 1 mentioned..

Its like a mess...

Plz provide your valuable inputs, as its urgent & I dont want my file to be delayed due to pregnancy.

Regards,

I believe the Internet is a free thinking place and so does this forum. People can hack the internet, post p()rns and say F*** YOU too if they feel like so. You don't control these; that's what Admin's are for. Even a real CIC visa officer does not have the right to require us not to post a random thread and ask random questions, let along whatever your ground is.

As for the Sept applicant's MR, my estimation is about November to December this year. The current processing time of 14 months was based on when applicants only took 30-60 days to receive their AORs and no delays in MR's, and therefore, can not be a good reference for Sept/Oct 2014 applicants.

Re: Sept 2014 applicant waiting for medical request- Questions- Not a new thread

Any of you knows how much does the Medical cost in Canada?

I think I might do mine in advanced to save time if it's not too expensive.

Thanks

$180-280 depending on doctor - the ones in large cities tend to be closer to the higher end.
