Seperation

I wonder if anyone can help with this question please.
My application for Permanent residency is now complete and I am ready to go. My Canadian wife is my sponsor under the family class, but we have recently separated ( not divorced)
I can prove sufficient funding so I have no problem immigrating and supporting myself, but will my ex wife still need to be involved in any way? or indeed does the separation invalidate my PR?

LANDED..........
SOON :)
If you have not landed yet you should let CIC know of your separation and yes of course your application for PR would be invalidated. What else were you expecting?!

If you have already landed and you were separated before your landing and didn't mention this on the border, then you have already done some misrepresentation. As of right now, UNFORTUNATELY CIC does nothing about people like you, but I hope they really do come up with a plan to stop people who come as sponsored spouses although their relationship is over. This is playing with the system which makes me sick sick sick.
