My friend has applied for PR as a skilled worker , in his application he included his wife and son.

He and his family got the PR visa but have not landed yet. he had a dispute with his wife and now they are separated pending divorce.

She does not want to go land with him in Canada nor give him her passport to cancel the visa and the PR visa expires soon.

Can he land without her? What is the best and fastest way ?

Yes he can land without her but if his wife complaints about it to CIC then his PR status can be taken back.

You can help your friends family to settle in canada.

You friend will not have any problem of landing without his wife and/or son. His family will have to face the problems without your friend.

Ask your friend to land in Canada immediately before visa expire, there is no problem....
any ask your friend's remaining family member to prepare to land after landing your friend.

Suggest your friend to land in Toronto and his wife to land in Ottawa or any other city next week or after some days.

Do not declare their divorce if they both want to settle in Canada.

Good Luck

Thank you for your reply

In his confirmation of landing record there is a not that is mentioned that his family is accompanying him. will they ask him at the port of entry about his family?

What can he do after he lands so that his wife cant complain?

Thanks

What if she does not want to settle in Canada?

Whats the best thing he can do? He would want to sponser his child after he gets his custody but that wont be before 10 years, will there be a problem?

Well, they will ask and he can say that they will complete the landing formalities later and once his litigation of separation is over then he can update it to CIC so that CIC is informed with updated information.
