Sep 2014 applicant - Passport request

I applied for PR under CEC in Sep 2014 and got my medicals in Feb 2016 and now 1st April 2016 I have got my passport request. I have been in India since Nov 2014 but my processing has all been under CPC-CTD-Ottawa. Now that I dont have a current mailing address in Canada and got my passport request - should I sent through my friend travelling to Canada from India and post it via canada post or email CPC for any other process. Please advice as I need to get this PR as well ensure no more delays as we already have been 18 months.

Please read your passport request email again. It says:

If you do not have a mailing address in Canada or the U.S.A, please send an email to us at CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca so that we can send you instructions for submitting your documents to a visa office which is the most convenient for you. Please note that our office will not return passports to an address outside North America.

I had emailed them on 13th April 2016 but havent yet heard back from them. Called up customer care agent and they didnt have any updated information. Hoping they will reply back with the India address to which I can courier the passports in a weeks time but if not shall I send it directly close to the 30 days endline (I recieved the ready for visa email on 4th April so got time till 4th may - should I wait till 1st May)

Fingers crossed and much worried about this - Waited all 19months for this PR

I had emailed them on 13th April 2016 but havent yet heard back from them. Called up customer care agent and they didnt have any updated information. You should wait for CIC answer.

If you send the passport with a friend, CIC will be unable to return it, except you change inmediately your address in file to an address in Canada, and later someone have to send your passport back. Too complicated, too many travels for your passport.

Do not ever send your passport with someone even with your close relatives... all you can do is wait for reply from CIC. My wife is in India and I have emailed them on 6th April so far no response..

In order to change your Visa Office to India, you need to email them on CPC-CTD-OTTAWA email address.

I did my medicals last month and the ECAS was updated on 7th April.
I haven't heard anything back from them yet. :'(

NO. I received my medicals on Feb 19th. I did the medicals in March. It showed up on ECAS on April 7th.
RPRF paid upfront.

Thanks for the update. Yes, even I thought the same of complication to send across all 3 passports via friends/relatives and complexity in getting them. Emailing CIC it becomes bit dragging but neat and clean process. Fingers crossed and waiting been close to week and more - got to wait.

Even I have requested the change in visa office to New Delhi for my wife....Based on the comments that I have read in this forum, CIC should send a response within 2 weeks (normally, but there could be some exceptions).....
