My husband filed for our PR last september and we still have not heard even for medicals.
Really not sure what the problem could be. Is this happening for many people or is it just us ?

another suggestion other than gcms notes; contact ur local MP, all the best :)

Hi Nekara,

Sorry to hear that you still haven't heard anything from CIC.

By the way, both you and your husband, are you still using the same email address that you have given in the CEC application? Just checking.

Secondly..like Roth & others mentioned above, please send the GCMS application asap. I guess u are inside Canada? If yes, its free of charge and you do it online. You will get the response back in 30 days. it might give some indication as to what they have done so far on your application. Here's the link:

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do

Lastly, who ever is the main applicant u or ur husband, may want to send an email to CIC (ottpilot-immigration @ cic.gc.ca) and ask them about the progress on your application. Its more than 12 months now and you should have at least got the medicals by now.

And whenver you write the email to CiC, please always include your application details at the end.
- main applicant's name, dob, pob, application no. client id and address

All the best.

What's the big fuss around it? With all those you guys just add woods to the fire...
Check the tracker sheets, about 30% of September, 50% of October and November didn't get MR yet. This is not extremely strange and given the PAFSO strike well expected. You should get GCMS notes and see your status but don't get worried too much.

oh ! its so much a relief to see all these replies... its good to know that we are not alone here breaking our heads....
Thanks infoseeker12 for that information. I wanted the link and now that we got it we'll apply for it today.

Please keep the rest of us updated on your husband's status.

You are not alone.. I have a bunch of my friends who applied in Sep 2012 but have not got their MRs yet while few others who applied in last week of Nov and first week of Dec have got their MR. It is strange on what basis the applications move because we all work for same company, same NOC and same home country. As per my GCMS notes almost a month back, my status was recommended passed but I have not got my MR yet.

I dropped them an email today asking status :P, i dont think it will hurt ..I am any way have more chances of getting rejected

I also am a Sept. 2012 applicant and haven't had any updates since I received my AOR, so you definitely aren't alone. I emailed CIC a few weeks ago, and received the standard response AHM listed above. Order your GCMS notes and sit tight! We will hear something soon!

sure i will... we applied the PR through an attorney and so anything we apply shld be through them.
we shld first get a hold of them and through them we have to apply for the GCMS notes. Waiting for a reply from them now.

I have another question. How long does CIC take to reply for a status query mail ? Our attorney sent an email asking for status last thursday (sept 26th) but haven't got a reply back. Is it true that they usually reply back within 2 days..

You don't need to apply for gcms via lawyer - you can do it yourself :-)

It took exactly two weeks for me.
90% of the time, you just get a generic response
