I sent in my application about 5 weeks ago.
2 weeks after I sent it, CIC emailed me requesting a document I forgot to add in my application. I sent it by courier and it arrived at the CIC offices in Mississauga 2 days later. That was on Sept 18. Since then, I have had no contact by them.
What I am worried about now is that in the email they ask to send to this address:
Application Intake - FCP
CPC Mississauge/CTD Mississauga
PO BOX 6100, Station A
Mississauga, ON L5A 4H4
I wanted to send it by courier, so I sent it to their courier address instead (regular mail can be slow, and I didn't want to take any chances of it getting lost, etc....). It arrived and was signed, and I have a record of the signature. So it definitely arrived in their offices.
My worry is that they didn't forward it to the appropriate office. I labeled the envelope with the file number that was included in the email, and my name of course, as well as included the letter that was emailed to me.
Can I call the CIC and ask them about this. The application hasn't begun processing yet, since it was incomplete. Would someone at the call center be able to tell me if they got the missing document?
Anybody have experience sending missing documents to the courier address instead of the address indicated in the email?
