Sent in requested missing document, haven't heard from CIC since

Hi,

I sent in my application about 5 weeks ago.

2 weeks after I sent it, CIC emailed me requesting a document I forgot to add in my application. I sent it by courier and it arrived at the CIC offices in Mississauga 2 days later. That was on Sept 18. Since then, I have had no contact by them.

What I am worried about now is that in the email they ask to send to this address:

Application Intake - FCP
CPC Mississauge/CTD Mississauga
PO BOX 6100, Station A
Mississauga, ON L5A 4H4

I wanted to send it by courier, so I sent it to their courier address instead (regular mail can be slow, and I didn't want to take any chances of it getting lost, etc....). It arrived and was signed, and I have a record of the signature. So it definitely arrived in their offices.
My worry is that they didn't forward it to the appropriate office. I labeled the envelope with the file number that was included in the email, and my name of course, as well as included the letter that was emailed to me.

Can I call the CIC and ask them about this. The application hasn't begun processing yet, since it was incomplete. Would someone at the call center be able to tell me if they got the missing document?

Anybody have experience sending missing documents to the courier address instead of the address indicated in the email?

You are very lucky they didn't send your entire package back like they did me two days ago - if you don't mine me asking "was it a form that they requested from you" .

And to answer your question, CIC is not going to contact you thanking you for sending in the document that they requested - I honestly believe you will be fine, they are probably about to process your application, so don't worry, you will probably hear something in 60 days .... This is thier process:

1) approval -ARO1
2) approval - ARO2
3) approved SA

I agree, they don't send you updates on documentation until it gets processed. Don't worry though, they will figure it out. Everything they request adds time to your processing unfortunately. Even if it's their mistake.

they requested a document from the checklist that I thought I didn't need to send in. IMM5406 - Additional family information. I honestly thought it was only if you had dependents.

I got very confused by all the documents and forms and so on, that I completely overlooked it.

I called the CIC yesterday and the woman told me that all the addresses that you see on the website concerning Mississauga, they are all the same building.

Why did they send back your entire package if you dont mind me asking?

You are very lucky they didn't send your entire package back like they did me two days ago - if you don't mine me asking "was it a form that they requested from you" .

OMG OMG this is the same form that made my package incomplete and they send the entire package back to me,and look at that they kept yours for the exact same mistake of a incomplete package, these people are clueless.....like you, they could have very well requested for me to send in the form like they did you!!! - they have no consistently whatsoever. they better have your package there awaiting this one single sheet of paper. Its not like they assigned you with a references number to your package.

Regardless I am happy you didn't go through what I went through - they send my entire package back because they said incomplete because of form IMM5406- the family form, me too got confused with that form and figured it would be NA because no family members are accompanying my hubby and all his siblings live in Canada (who are all Canadian Citizen -

And yea both of those address are one location - so regardless, it will get to Mississauga
