On May 20th. It was sent to Ottawa and they began Processing the application july 27th. I got a letter a week before christmas saying that they had tried to contact me on october 23rd through mail, because i was missing the IMM5409 form. I sent this in as soon as i got the letter. That was the last i have heard from them. Any advice? I know they won't do anything until after 17 months. It's just really frstrating to see people who applied in september getting approved already. Can't wait for all this to be over. I'm from england and also on 2 year visiting Visa. I'm supposed to go home for a wedding April 18th. Would it be a problem getting back in then? Or will it be ok because i have the visitor visa. Thanks in advance

How do you have a 2 year visitor's visa if you are a British citizen? Or, did you somehow get a 2 year visitor's record? If the latter, you will be fine leaving and returning since you also have a PR app in process. You will need an ETA though, this could be problematic with the airlines if you land as a PR and don't get your PR card in time. If you do get your COPR soon you might want to hold off on
landing until your trip.
You should send in a polite case-specific enquiry stating it's been x months since you sent in the document and you haven't heard anything, and you would like to check that they received it. You can also try phoning the call centre (call in the morning) and ask if it shows they received the document.
