Plus, you shouldn't carry your PR card around. Only take it when you need to prove your PR status, because if you lose it it takes at least two months to get a new one. You can apply for a provincial driver's licence or ID card and keep that in your wallet as proof of identity.

SIN is no longer a card. By not giving a card it also prevents people from carrying the number around. SIN information is rarely needed. You should carry medical card and drivers license for ID.
