SENIORS Pls.. Visa Approved NON SDS, Got only for 6 months BUT course is for 2 years Jan 2020 intake

Hi Bryanna and Seniors,

My Spouse's NON SDS student visa was approved for Quebec after 1 refusal

Second approval came just in 2 days..!!!

Today got message of Counterfoil VISA generated validity from 18 Sept 2019 until 30 April 2020

course duration is Jan 2020 to Dec 2021 ( 2 years )

I was expecting counterfoil should be around valid until March 2022 ( 3 months more after course ending )


Any inputs please ???

does anyone is same situation ?

I.think no, as it's PG studies for 2 years in Montreal, Quebec

We r waiting to receive passport from VFS

counterfoil update is saw in CIC online account
Is there any possibility that physical passport sticker will be having correct validity despite online update..?

I mean any technical glitch or fault in updating...?

Yes it is..!!!

Might be because we applied so early for TRV

Course starting from Jan 2020 to Dec 2021

Any logic behind this ?

my cousin also got TRV for 6 months while course duration is 2 years. Never mind. You can land in Canada, secure study permit which will be of 2 years and then apply for TRV extension.

Did he/she face any kind of interview coz of less TRV etc ?

Did he came to know the reason why he or she got less TRV validity..?

There is no specific reason for getting less duration of TRV (except passport expiry) than program duration. My friend also got 6 months TRV for 2 years' program. HE raised web form (CSE) but nothing changed. So he will apply for renewal of TRV after landing in Canada
