Good day,

I"m a 2007 applicant from Pretoria, South Africa. I've recently received my CAIPS. Can someone please just explain what BFD means, mine is 28.03.2011 PPS, I know the PPS is the initial of the person reviewing the file. As you can see this is already been 6 months since they reviewed the file.

I would like to know what they do with a file when they say BFD? My application was submitted without documents (new fast track application), so what can they actually review if we haven't submitted any documents?

Your help is appreciated. :D

Hi
What is CAIPS?

Computer Assisted Immigration Processing System (CAIPS) is the computer system used by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) to process overseas visa applications.
CAIPS maintains all information relevant to your visa application, including:

point calculations;
visa officers' notes;
details of the processing stages passed;
the bring forward date (BFD), which indicates the expected date of the next processing stage.

:D Hi Dr.Qasimamel, I liked very well your explanation to the question. You are a great :-* teacher too!.

Much appreciated. Thanks Qasimamel.

28.03.2011 is over and you got nothing to do except waiting for your next call from your CHC.
