I've got my student visa on the basis of a pg diploma in Humber Toronto and then got accepted to a BA diploma in SAIT. I withdrew from Humber and am now going to POE at Calgary to start the BA diploma. Can I be rejected entry and sent back and denied a study permit there on te ground that I got visa for a PG program and am now going to do a simple diploma even though I have undergrad degree from India? Pls tell me I'm due to fly out in 10 days and am worried about being rejected at the port of entry. Pls someone help. I'm changing course level of study and province before entering Canada. Pls help.

Yes u can officialy chnge ur level of course as written on cic website !!so dnt wry

u can but thats only after u get there. im talking about cancelling admission in the program for which i got SP and going to anr province with anr program on diff level of study.

Hi! This [LINK] might help.

Basically you can, you just have to change your DLI in your GCKey. To be safe, it is recommended that you still bring the Letter of Acceptance from Humber College to your POE just to be safe.

I plan on doing the same, but I still haven't gotten my approval yet. So please do update this thread about your experience!

I am not changing my college, only course. I got my AIP approval and now it feels like i did a terrible mistake. I should have waited for final stage 2 approval. Can they reject my application if I send them new loa after getting stage 2 approval Or can i be questioned at the port of entry?

Ah, well I'm not entirely sure if you will be questioned. But I don't think so because it is the same school anyway. I also read that it's better to update your GCKey's DLI/Program once you've landed in your POE just to be safe.

I'm trying to look for the site that says you don't need to update your GCKey if you will transfer to a different program but stay in the same institution. Because I feel like I've read something similar to that. I'll reply the link once I do.

Basically it just says here to inform them if you are changing schools or level of studies. The changing of program in the same institution isn't mentioned. Hope that helps ease your worry!!
