I got my Visa on 24th of July-10. I have a question that my First Name and Middle Name in on my Passport as well as COPR Form. But rest of my family members First and Surname put on passports and COPR Forms.

How can I changed my name form First and Middle to First and Surname on Passport and COPR Forms and how much time it would take by Passport Office and CHC. And what I have to do to get it done changed from CHC

Hi,

If I got it correct that you passport has your First and Middle name only and not surname and rest of your family has their first and surname, correct me if I am wrong and if that is the case, then it will be a very time consuming process. You will have to notify CHC for that and ask them for a solution and at the same time get in touch with the local passport office to ask for the time line for the changes to be made in the passport for the same.

Your guidelines require.. I got my 1st AOR just 2 days back.. I am planing to submit my documents. i am little bit confused on points for my work experience.

I have experience of 3.5 years in NOC code (9212) and 3 years in NOC code (6221)... NOC code 9212 was in list of Fast Track till June 10 and based on that i applied for PR.

Now I am little bit confused whether work experience will be only counted for 3.5 years of 9212 or will get consideration for 3 years of experience of 6221 code also. With consideration of both experience i will be on safer side for 67 points eligiblility.

Pl guide as your already got clearance of your Visa and hope gone through points for work experience.

Only one NOC experience is allowed. It cannot be a mix of more than one NOC exp.

Dear Pink,

See, 21 Points are awarded for an experience of more than 4 years. As per the List, You should have worked for at least one year in an NOC which is in the demand list at the time of application.

So, I think you should score 21 if the total experience is at 0 or A or B level

I dont think that you should get into all this name change idea. If there is mistake/ variation in particulars in passport, visa and CoPR then you should bring to the notice of CHC cause the immigration officer at airport check it throughly. 1st name, middle name and last name does not matter here. In fact they will ask you to put which one to put in your SIN card, first, middle last, all three, first two, last two.

if your application was received by the CIO before 26th june, you will be awarded for both - 6221 & 9212. otherwise, you will not get any point...

It is a time consuming process. first you will have to change your name by giving a notice in 2 newspapers. After that you will have your passport updtaed. Then you will notify CHC. they will cancel your visas and copr and call them back. Then it will take your fresh passport and issue visa again. This whole process can take almost 3-4 months depending on your name change in the passport.

My advice is go t Canada with your docs as they are. You can change your name later on. Otherwise you will have to delay your landing. Choice is yours.

Even I have the same opinion as given by explorer. You should not get your self into name change kind of things and move with whatever you have in your hand and your top most priority should be to land in CANADA first.
