I got rejection for Jan 2014 for Dalhousie University Sad.. the reason of refusal:your proposed stdies r nt reasonable in light of 1 or more of: ur qualifications, previous stdies, employment , level of establishment, language abilities, or ur future propects and plans.
I got admission in dalhousie UNI for M.engg in internetworking. my profile is B.E (E&C) 58% (10 backlogs with repeatation) and an year gap during U.G means B.E completed in 5 years. IELTS- 6.5 (min 6 in each),also my final year project was on networking and I have also submitted a certificate from a private institute of N+, CCNA, MCSE where I have done training of these networking courses .. sufficient funds shown, but SOP was very poor... applied under university category.. now how to resolve this issue with this profile?? plz guide me, I am desparately looking for help on this as I want to re-apply soon for the same intake..

Prashant I think you should call for CAIPS notes. If you really want some help for your case.
You've posted this on each and every post on this forum. Its better if you would check the real REFUSAL reason through CAIPS notes,if you have time.
But according to me, this is a PURE MISMATCH, the course you chosen is related to hardware students not for ECE.
Pink up a course which is related to your field and apply again.
Would you do internetworking course in your home country after doing ECE degree? Don't you think this is a mismatch or not ?Think about it.
Improve your SOP this time. Seniors and experts will help you on this more.
Hope you'll get the visa this time.

i have been a silent member thus far and i want to appreciate every body that has contributed. I have questions i would like answers to and i will deeply appreciate those who can help me out with answers.
I have been granted admission to study in seneca college on a two year diploma course to study accounting . The program starts in May 2014. I originally intended to apply for the one year post graduate diploma as i already have a bsc from Nigeria and after that apply for my Msc but i was discouraged by a friend in Canada from doing that stating that it will be difficult to get the Msc admission after doing the Pgd as there will be little or no time left for the Msc application since i will be on a year's visa and the Canadian authorities may most likely want you to come back to Nigeria after the program. Secondly, if i do get work permit, it will only be for a year and employers will most likely not want to employ someone with just a year work permit.
So i have applied for the Two year diploma with the following intentions.
1) Switching to a Pgd when i get there.
My question on this intention to those in Canada is whether it is possible to actually come to Canada on a two year diploma and then switch to a one year Pgd and after the Pgd apply for my Msc.
2) Doing the Two year diploma.
My question on this intention is whether this diploma has any value as regards employment. Can i get accounting jobs with this Diploma or jobs that can at least enable me save some money after taking care of basic needs ? Also as a second option, i intend just finishing the diploma, get the three year work permit, work for some time and then apply for a Bsc in a university. My question is whether i will i have to start from 100 level having come from having a diploma or i will be granted direct entry into a Bsc program where i will start from like 200 or 300 level as it is done here in Nigeria.
I will appreciate all those who can guide me into making an informed decision preferably from those already in Canada.

How do the job prospects look like after you pass out from Seneca..i have a 3+ work experience in India in relevant marketing field..will that help?
