Hi guys, I need your help again.

I got the email from Canadian Embassy Beijing office requesting the passport 2 days ago. And I am about to send my wife's passport from Canada. In the email, it said that I need to use DHL and fill up a pre-paid return waybill so that they could send the passport back to Canada when finish. However, I went to DHL branch today, the lady told me that DHL does not provide that kind of service in Canada.... There was also another customer wanted to do the same thing, and DHL gave him the same answer. We also called DHL customer services, still a no.

So my questions are: how the hell that the Canadian Embassy Office provide the fault information? How am I supposed to send it? Can I use other courier companies to send the passport? I know that Canada Post does that.

Please help as I need to send it out ASAP. Thank you guys in advance

Or should I just get a blank waybill from DHL, fill it up and check the "charge to receiver" option(since when they send the pp back, I will be the receiver) and make the payment when the pp arrives?

Please help, I am really confused here.....

I have been looking forward to seeing somebody to give replies to your question because I have to send from Canada too. I haven't contacted DHL yet so I don't know if they can do waybill here in Kelowna.

Hopefully somebody will reply soon telling us their experience.

Have a lovely weekend

Hi have you found way to get a waybill at DHL?

I posted your question in another Topic Forum and got very clear answer from a helpful member Kysorb:

"its 1 yuan just for the "waybill" which is the paper they attach to the envelope with your address on it..

here is the link they give you for the waybill images.

The embassy will pay to mail it to you. (at least they did with my EMS, i have no idea if they send it collect outside china but inside china the shipping was covered for me "

Good luck

This is right off the top website like they gave me in the request letter I assume they sent this link to you too in your letter

How to Complete a Courier Waybill for Return of Documents

The Canadian Embassy, Beijing requires applicants to mail in a self-addressed waybill each time they submit original passports that will later be returned to them. This will ensure that passports are delivered promptly to the correct address, resulting in more accurate and efficient client service.

Please note that we are unable to continue processing or return documents until a correctly completed self-addressed waybill is submitted. The Embassy only asks you to fill out the self-addressed return waybill. Please do NOT include any form of payment related to the courier cost.

Where did you see in your letter that it says pre-paid?
