Sending Passport for a TRV Application Outside of Canada

Hey folks,

I'm planning on visiting my country in the next month or so, but I do have a TRV application (inside of Canada) pending. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to leave Canada, get the passport request, mail it to Canada and get it mailed back to me while I'm in my own country?

And if anyone has done something akin to this, how long does it take to get the passport mailed back to you, especially if you're not in Canada?

You tend to want to advise IRCC that you are outside of the country and then use the Visa Application Centre in the country that you're in. I don't know if IRCC would mail you a passport outside of the country. They tend to be quite particular about mailing of passports.
