Hi guys,
The deadline to submit my final documents is coming up soon & i had some questions before i send in my application.
1. On the UK CIC website it states that:
Right of Permanent Residence Fee (RPRF)
Applicants for permanent residence can pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee ($490) at the time they submit their application or at a later date when requested. The processing fee is still required when submitting an application.
Do i need to submit $490 for myself and my spouse with my full documents or should i wait until i get a request for the payment?
2. I got the following score in IELTS:
Listening 8.5
Reading 7.5
Writing 6.5
Speaking 8.0
Total 7.5
I'm worried about the writing score. Is there any minimum limit on each category or is this score alright?
3. In my initial application i claimed basic proficiency in French. I haven't taken any tests to prove my french skills, however i lived and
worked in a french speaking city/country (Lausanne, Switzerland) for over 5 years. Can i submit a letter stating this fact or should i not mention my french skills at all in the new set of documents i send to london? I asked a consultant and he said that it's alright if i leave it out completely.
I'm concerned about this because when calculating my total points i get 69 if i choose basic proficiency in french. Without it i get exactly 67 points. (I chose 'moderate' in the writing section for english when figuring out my points)
Thanks for your help.
