Hello,

We talked to the people on the immigration help phone and they said we can send such things as police certificates electronically, as opposed to through mail.

How does one do this? Could someone give me instruction on how to do this?

Don't ever rely on the people on the phone because they are not immigration consultants or anything. They're just part-time workers who give out basic details on calls. They are not supposed to give you advice. There's no way for you to upload anything online unless MYCIC has offered you an upload link. You can try a CSE (search the forum to figure out what it is) or directly emailing the VO, but your best option is to just send in a physical copy through registered mail, and then later on confirm if they added the doc to your file or not.

Unfortunately avatarkyoshi is right..the call centre are very unreliable. A few years ago they actually told me a piece of information that was completely wrong and just by chance i decided to look into it more myself. Turns out doing what they told would have actually been illegal/caused possible deportation.

I am not sure what route you are applying for or your situation but if you still have a question post your circumstance/stage of application here and I'm sure someone will help.
