Hey guys

I know the guides say to send only photocopies of important documents but does this include all your evidence such as bank statements, utility bills, tenancy agreements, etc etc? I have a bundle of docs to send as evidence of our ongoing relationship (family sponsorship - married) and I've just photocopied absolutely everything as I don't want to send in and lose all our originals. Is it okay to send only photocopies?

Second question I have is do you think we should be sending in full documents? For example, a tenancy agreement: I have only copied the front page with names, dates etc and signature page as I assumed they wouldn't be interested in seeing all the sections and sub-sections in between. Other letters addressed to us with the same address as evidence of us cohabiting I've copied only the main front page. Do you think this is okay?

Thanks!! :)

Send photocopies unless stated otherwise. You'll never get back the original.

Just sending in the relevant page is fine. I would only send in photocopies unless the checklist specifically asks for the original of something.

Another vote here for just photocopies.. I'm not sending originals of anything.

Thanks for all your replies everyone!!! Much appreciated as always :)

Police certificate needs to be original though right? We applied for the Police cert ahead of time as suggested and it came really quickly so I'm planning to just send it in with the application.
