Hello All,

I have applied for 1 year PG diploma at Douglas collage for September 2013 intake,I have done mca from a university ,But visa is refused below is the reason :

You have not satisfied me that you would leave Canada at end of your stay.In reaching this decision ,i consider several factors including :
1) your travel history
2)your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence ( my uncle, mom's brother lives in canada,is it a valid family relation ?)
3)purpose of visit
4)your proposed studies can not be considered a logical progression of studies (i think this one is due ,transfer from university study to college ?)

my agent had written no family relation while filling the form.

now i am applying for university. Please guide me what should i do if i get admission in any university?
how to get detailed reason of rejection and what is CAIPS ?

thanks

1)Have you ever visited your relatives in Canada?
2) What relatives do live in your country? Parents? Siblings?
3)&4) What does mca mean? Sorry, I do not know you country abbreviations. Does it mean you have Masters?
THEN it is strange for CIC that you wished to get PG diploma after Masters

And if you already have Masters what kind of education could be necessary for you further carrier in profession (in you homeland)? Another masters? Why? PG diploma? Why and why?

1)no
2)siblings and parents living in india, parents govt employee
3)Mca (3 year program ) : master of computer applications
4)due to late desired IELTS result i missed university deadline, consultant told me that i can go for PG diploma in collages ...although i was not so convinced ,but i applied....which was my mistake :(..i should have waited and then applied for universities ..

Before i did 3 year bachelors program and most universities says for MS one should have a 4 year bachelor degree or a master degree.
I want to go for ms for advance study and better job opportunities after ms if i get a chance

Have you ever traveled outside of your home country to any developed country as UK, France, USA etc? If not it is a problem. You should have a travel history that shows VO that you have been in developed countries and RETURNED home. Right now it looked for VO like you parents and your relatives in Canada who you never visited made in agreement to help you to stay in Canada and you applied to study permit (to college AND PG AFTER masters??!!) only to get into Canada.

I doubt that you asked universities directly. Nobody in Canada would request to get one MS before accept you to the SAME program.

Could you find something similar but different? :) I mean different Masters in Canada but still in computer science? However, you will still need something in your working history to support such a decision. As well as to improve your traveling history.

no i have not traveled outside home country. My parents are doing govt job and i am doing pvt job in IT sector.

My concern is that if i apply for MS in computer science ,which is relevant to my previous studies and if i get acceptance,i have to give explanation on objections of VO. what should i write in support to objections??...what are my chances of visa if apply for MS in university ...??

I have shown enough funds for study ,distinction in degrees, paid full fee for one year along with GIC last time..so funds should not be problem,my parents will be supporting my study, i have very good academics so far always 70% + in school/collage ..

why relatives are negative point ...i will not be living with them..

2 friends with similar profiles like me got visa...but my visa was denied

otherwise i would have go for university :(
Is there any hope for me or not ???

Do you need it for your current job? Two masters?

You relatives could be helping you to stay in Canada illegaly. Also, how did they immigrated to Canada? For example, did not they they pretended to go on temporary basis but then stayed? In such a case VO thinks "it could run in the family".

Similar does not mean exactly the same. The Devil is in the details.

The problem with PG after masters is not in "college vs university" but in PG AFTER MASTERS. PG is a lower level of education THAN masters. From VO point of view there is no sense in getting PG after getting Masters.

I want to study and make carrier information security which i haven't studied earlier nor my current job is related to this. There is great scope of information security in India too.

no my uncle got married and legally moved ,he is not so close to my family...n how VO finds and justify/relates family ties?
once my father applied as FSW but then rules are changed and application is simply canceled with many others though all criteria are full filled ...could this be reason for denial ?

Canada is developed country no doubt about that..and i want to apply for better study, opportunities n life, not for living illegally there.
i guess i have bad luck :(

Easy. Immigrants tell VO by themselves. :) When they fill in forms they have to show their parents (you show you mother, for ex.) and you uncle had to show his siblings (his sister=your mother). All that information is in CIC systems forever. Of course, if he is your mother's third cousin CIC would not know about him and then, anyway, he is not considered to be your uncle (relative) from CIC point of view.

There is great scope of information security in India too
And there is no way you can get such kind of eduction in India?

OK. Here is an example (a real one). A person with BA works in the bank back office for 3 yrs. Then she decided to go for PG in Finance because she wants to move to another division, front office, to work as a wealth/personal/portfolio manager. She studied what programs she could get in her country in that field. Too much study, like for 4 years. She looked at programs in Europe: they are either too short and offer the same what she studied in BA or offer courses to become a fin. director of the company and not a financial adviser what she wants to be . In Canada, however she found a PG in Finance and mostly there courses of the program are in her desirable field - wealth management. That was her story in her SOP.
1. field of her present work
2. why the second education will help her to move from back to front office (otherwise she would need to start from scratch, starting as a teller, like there were no 3 years in the back office, that's how it is in banks: you got in the back office - you stuck there)
2. available options somewhere else , not only in Canada
3. Why Canada is the best option for her.

Do you see the logic?

Definitely it could be. Not the only one, not the main one... but all together with a weak explanation from you "why in Canada"..
