im working as a service crew, am i eligible to apply as immigrant? I used to work as a shift supervisor when i was in my home country. Need help coz got a lawyer and he's asking for 2000cad for the assessment of my papers. Many thanks!

coolitz,

this is the exact site for your reference.better to print it and discuss with your employer .
http://www.albertacanada.com/immigration/immigrate/foodservices.html

By the way,you and your employer must meet the criterias when aplying under Alberta
Immigrant Nominee Program.

Ask the AINP directly if you and your employer qualify before you go and pay a lawyer. Your employer also has to help you apply. If your employer isn't interested, then a lawyer will not help.

Leon,
i dont think they need a lawyer at the moment.its just a wasting of hard earned money.imagine paying a hefty amount just for assesment.surely, there are more fees to come.there are other ways and means than paying a lawyer. An employer can file the application alone without needing the help
of an attorney.

If i were in coolits shoes, this is what i will do.i will read all information regarding AINP then i will ask my employer for a heart to heart meeting.if it turns out negative, i will compromise by shouldering all expenses
that may arise. This is a win win situation.
